If you do this. You’re a coward. If you don’t want to talk to someone. You need to be direct.
Stop being cowards. You’re scared. You can’t face someone like a grown adult and be straightforward.
There is some legitimate circumstances to do this only if someone is bothering you and they refuse to take no for a answer and intentionally cross boundaries or are doing things outright stalkerish
I am going to assume that this is like a friend or a girl that Friendzoned you but yet you two were Besties. At the crux of Ghosting, before and during friendzone as well as longtime friends and Family, lies in your responsibility as related to Choice.
In their eyes you either chose not the thing that was in their best interest before you which includes simply ignored too. Whether unsure OR you clearly chose another option without any consideration how it will effect them.
These are different. In the first dynamic, you knew they were up to a task, they were in need and reached out. You know who that is and saw their number in call, text, facetime, and nothing... I mean, hell, you were watching the playoffs. I know your phone was busy texting peers. Whatever you were doing is more important than them. You chose NOT them when presented with Choice. Nobody does that...
You drove and went out chasing tail together. Early on at the ice skating rink you clicked with this tomboyish female hockey hoodlum. Stanley Cup started on TVs there, she lived close, invite was extended, and all you could think of is "Netflix and chill." Absent minded, you took off. Remembering about friend (s) once arrived and texted. He? They were stuck with no alternatives.
Choices matter. And both situations are likely not first time events and who has the time for consistent self-absorbed A-Hole... good ridden !!
From experience, its a method employed by people who are emotionally immature. At first it came across repulsive and annoying, but with a little tact, patience and understanding, i realized they behave in this manner largely due to some unresolved internal conflict or abuse. Their family or early life experiences denied their open expression of their feelings, for whatever reason.
Your hostile response to their ghosting is expected. Most people are pissed off at ghosting behavior. But for the ghoster, it justifies their perspectives towards you and makes it easier for them to eliminate you from their lives, which is what theyre trying to accomplish in the first place.
No one owes you an explanation as to why they now longer want to talk to you. No one owes you that closure. Conversations die, people get bored or people forget. It’s life; especially when it comes to social medias.
I don’t follow people on here so when I get messages and I don’t check for a while I end up ignoring the message. The few people I have spoken to will get ghosted if they cross boundaries and disregard corrections when I’ve made it clear that I don’t accept that behaviour. Example; continuously calling pet names when explicitly told not to.
It's cowardly unless they feel their safety is compromised like that last sentence in your post, in that case, ghosting the person is necessary

I think most the time the ghosting isn't cowardice.
I think one party is way more attached than the other.
Usually the person who gets ghosted thought they were close and the other person didn't really find the other person important enough to let them know they were dipping.
It's the reason why the person who got ghosted is usually very upset, and the person who did the ghosting isn't even bothered or gave a 2nd thought to the person they ghosted
Or you can be an adult and accept the fact that nobody owes you an explanation for not wanting to speak to you anymore.
It really is that simple.
They might not be cowards, they might just not care enough to message you. Most likely, you’re already out of their mind and they therefore don’t think to message you.
You know, I agree just fucking tell us you’re not interested so we can forget you exist and find a someone who values us because the games is a waste of time and we are to grown to be playing the bs games.
I'll paraphrase most of the women on this question (although in a far more verbally fluid, articulate & coherent manner):
people as tools, things, objects for my satisfaction - if they're not useful to me, or act in a manner to my pleasing, I don't owe them decency of respect, because I will only give when I get in FIRST (you must benefit me you to receive any empathy/compassion), I don't go out of my way to take any respectful or decent action simply on the basis of morality... everything is me, me, me, and the moment it isn't, you're gone... and you're scum to ask for an explanation of narcissistic me.
