Definition and reality aren't the same thing. For example, if we change the definition of theft to "when a non-white person's private property is unconsensually taken from them," that doesn't suddenly mean that it's not theft if the victim is white. You could argue it isn't and cite the definition, but you're going to look like an idiot. Definitions are our attempts at explaining concepts. Definitions have no inherent correlations to reality.

That being said, I'm not of the opinion that all abortion is murder. I support abortion of to a certain point. But if your opinion is that "you can't murder something that hasn't been born" then I'd point out that the difference between killing something 1 minute before birth and killing it one minute after birth are virtually the same thing.
