Do you think having an abortion falls under the definition of murder?

There's never been any agreement on when that thing growing in the uterus becomes a "human being"
Is it the moment of conception, sperm fertilizing the egg?
Is it when there is a heartbeat?
Is it when the brain forms?
Maybe it's when the fetus is viable, can survive outside the uterus?
Or maybe it's when it is born and leaves the uterus?
No matter what one's opinion of abortion is, until we can all agree on when a "human being" happens, we'll have a difficult time calling abortion "murder".
Further, even those opposed to abortion generally believe that it's justified in the case of rape or incest or teh health of the woman. Does that mean that abortion is sometimes murder and sometimes not? Or does that mean that, sometimes, murder is justified?
I guess the debate over abortion is at which point in a pregnancy does a embryo becomes a person/baby.
If you can clearly define when a foetus becomes a person and know that an abortion happened after this timeline, then yes it could be defined as murder. However there probably already is a 12 week timeline in place for this.
No, for 2 reasons, 1) in most cases it is not "unlawful" and 2) because an embryo and fetus before the point they can survive on their own isn't exactly human I'm their own right. As an embryo it is nothing more than a bunch of cells and pre being able to service outside the body a fetus is really a reliant parasite...

I am anti-abortion, but your argument fails. Murder is the UNLAWFUL premeditated killing of one human being by another. Abortion, in most instances, is not unlawful.
Depends whether or not the fetus had always developed a conscious yet (came to life)
Because if it's always gained some memories and experiences... It's sad to take away... But if they've never actually been awake (conscious) it's like your killing nothing.. blackness... Killing something that never existed... You know what I mean? Abort jus means to prevent something from happening, not terminate something that already happened
If you are gonna say the simple fact that your prevent a life at all is sad.. at what point do we draw the line? Because we can also say a guy jacking off into tissue is wasting and terminating loads of potential baby life forms... Is it murder to jerk off? Because technically that's a very early abortion
I hope you read carefully and thought about the things I said... cos I know I'm a genius and most people are a lot dumber than me and can't understand my points of view.. but maybe if you really think about what I said... Maybe you too will see that I'm correct, even if you only have like 100 iq like most people
I think it depends on the intent. Majority of the time, yes. Because murderers only care about themselves otherwise committing murder would be too difficult for them to do. Which is why I will always believe these women are inherently selfish wanting an abortion
STOP SPAMMING! You like abortion; we get it! Many do not, and consider it murder REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE LAW SAYS. If you have nothing else to say, then SHUT UP!
This needs to be given the MHO!
Honestly, I’m so freaking tired of seeing abortion related questions today
In my opinion, abortion would be fair play and ok if mother was for example raped, became pregnant too young like 15, was too poor to raise a child or had some generic illness that would harm her baby even 1%. In that case, I agree with abortion and I’m a Catholic…
The age old question is, when does a lump of cells become a human. In the definition, it specifically mentions a human. The laws of most countries have a defined limit to when this is and from that moment on abortion is illegal.
it doesn't matter what others think, it is a personal decision...
Just as I don't call tadpoles frogs, I don't call fetuses humans
I mean people kill baby chickens everyday for breakfast so idrk.
A chicken isn’t a human
I think most people who commit murder are probably mentally ill.
Majority of women these days are mentally ill
The point a govt considers a fetus a person is the key. The Bible said a month after birth.
Good god if you keep asking this same question, I’m going to pray for you to be aborted.
Yes, I do. The unborn foetus is a human being; deliberately taking his/her life is murder.
I’m okay with abortion. The world is already overpopulated as is.
I don’t think it’s unlawful, so na
It's not alive until it starts to move. so no.
I gotta google "sports" definition
nope. just taking care of an unneeded addition.
