I would make a convincing argument that he is the worst umpire ever! The only thing keeping me from saying that, is how Joe West would actually intentionally blow calls to inject himself into the outcome of the game. At least Hernandez isn't as thin skinned.

That is exactly why he's still there. He sued MLB for not making him a crew chief or giving him playoff games, used the "race card". MLB basically said, it's because he is a useless, incompetent loser, that lacks leadership skills. That says it all!
