Do you hate lawyers, do you find them repulsive?

i personally find them all to be disgusting,
they help and defend child rapists and murderers and they cost a lot of money, more than they deserve too, they file appeals for convicts each and every day, it makes me sick because i see a lot of them who just simply do it for money and they could care less about what the victims family thinks, do you all agree or not?

Okay, so you’re talking about certain criminal defense lawyers who “defend” guilty people that do things such as pedophilia, murders, etc. Not all lawyers are shitty… Civil lawyers don’t even defend people like that, so I don’t hate them and fine them repulsive.


Here’s something you should know. Most lawyers do not actually defend or support these people... They do it because they are hired and they are getting paid to defend. That is literally their job. Just like how prison guards, executioners, garbage truck drivers, etc do shitty jobs to get paid… It’s a very high demand job, and if it pays well for the work you do, then they will take the job to keep their business running.


It’s not true that lawyers don’t care about the families. Lawyers working criminal cases for murderers or child rapists are hired by the clients/clients family and are trying to work to lessen their sentence, not get them off scot free. 99% of the time, criminal lawyers know the defendant is guilty and absolutely hate the person and what they did, but it’s their job to defend someone.

I should add… Lawyers get paid well. And in this economy, if you are a married person, or married with kids, in an expensive state such as CA or NY, etc… Being a lawyer will set you above the comfortable living level, where you’re able to pay the bill, essentials, and care for a family and house.

If taking a criminal case that pays well puts you in a comfortable stop for living… You would take it too. Being a criminal lawyer for these crimes does not automatically strip you of your morals and ethics.

There are different types of lawyers..
My aunt/mom's bestie is a lawyer and she's great.

They don't defend rapists. They defend people who are charged with rape because the constitution guarantees everyone is entitled to a defense and that the accused is innocent until proven guilty. If we did not have that then people would just make any accusation against anyone they want removed from their path and you would go to prison whether you did the thing or not.

That said, a lot of lawyers prefer to be prosecutors specifically because they detest the idea of defending pedophiles or rapists. It is not rare for someone charged with a crime to be innocent but it is also not rare for them to be guilty. And a lot of public defenders are thought to have intentionally flubbed their case if they believe their client guilty, but they have to be extremely careful as they can be disbarred on the spot if it is found they engaged in malpractice on purpose - indeed, by messing up on purpose they can even cause a guilty person to walk in rare instances.

i personally would still not want to be around anyone that was accused of that crime and sadly from what i have seen most persons charged with that really did commit the crime. just because someone says they are innocent does not mean they really are.

Most people accused, yes, but not most people charged. Maybe 1% of rape accusations result in charges but of those maybe a third are actually innocent. As to the 99% of accusations that don't result in charges, the overwhelming majority are guilty but the cops have no incentive to make an arrest.

They are necessary for a fair trial even in cases where it should be obvious. Otherwise it's closer to middle ages legal system of x is guilty because others say they are with poor evidence.
