How do you feel about district attorneys/prosecutors?

So, for those of you that are unaware. Charges are approved of by district attorneys. DA's can refuse to prosecute a case, in some jurisdictions they set bail (Which judges can raise or lower) and they can negotiate plea deals. Most criminal cases are ended in plea deals. When you take a plea deal, certain conditions are negotiated, such as agreeing to plead guilty in exchange for some charges being dropped. This saves them resources, time, and saves the county money. This is the harsh reality. Prosecutors do not care whatsoever if you are innocent, they want convictions. Seemingly few people can understand this, but you can have overwhelming evidence against you, and still be innocent. The prosecutor's job is quite literally to make a "theory" and spin and manipulate evidence in any way they can, even in not so truthful ways, to get that conviction. Prosecutors also have specific prosecutorial immunity. Technically, this is supposed to protect prosecutors who MAY go above what's morally right, but don't violate your rights. In reality, prosecutors get away with perjury, slander, and violating your rights without you having the capacity to sue. Just because you are found innocent even, doesn't mean you can sue. Prosecutors aren't vulnerable like normal civilians in civil court. You can sue a civilian for whatever you want, as long as you state a specific claim that violated your rights. You can't do that to a prosecutor. As much as I dislike judges and police, there are much fewer numbers of corrupt police and judges than prosecutors. Even my own defense lawyer told me she couldn't be a prosecutor anymore, because "she had a concious". Being found totally innocent after 18 months in jail, and I got no reimbursement. No matter what political affiliation you associate with, we should hold prosecutors accountable for their actions. Wrongful conviction, and innocent people copping out to plea deals is MUCH more common than America acknowledges.
