@goaded i dont think there is much demand for any kind of moderate party of any kind. There are too many issues at play where you can't split the baby. A big issue is the transgenders. Not because it in itself effects so many people but either you think a man can get pregnant or a tranny is a fag in a dress. The thought process to choose either position clearly is a great litmus test for the divide which contributes to every other issue. Ie there is little demand for a conservative for trans party or a liberals against trans party. First off i think people who strongly feel this way mostly dont care to be involved in politics. So even if you could perfectly make such a movement, the people who believed in it would not join it.

Secondly, if you are involved in a particular issue you will soon not be "live and let live" because as i said its not coherent. In regards to lgbts, is it live and let live to force people to acknowledge them or is it live and let live to allow people to discriminate against them? Precisely what does live and let live mean in this context? Sure yeah if you dont want to date one dont date one sure... but what if i dont want to hire a man in a dress? Or what if they all are killing themselves because people dont affirm them? And what about trans surgery for children? There is no simply live and let live position. If its live and let live you have to realize other people live differently and to misgender someone in LA might be an asshole, in small town georgia being a male in a dress and demanding to use the womens room is considered asshole behavior here. So if you want to live and let live you got to be hands off and allow other people to have other social norms and their own cultures. I personally have lived in both kinds of places and this really is the truth.
