What makes one 'morally bankrupt?' have you ever been called that before?

A lot of inner city kids are morally bankrupt in this generation actually. No manners, no values, no proper vocabulary.. it's like their parents - which are mostly in my age range sadly - didn't care to teach them anything. Just like they popped them out to get government assistance, project housing, food stamps, and pass them on to the system. I feel bad for those kids. I donate a lot to the local rescue mission b/c that bothers me. Why do these kids have to suffer b/c of a drug addicted/alcoholic/careless parent? I know how it feels to grow up w/a mean narc mom, but at least she worked.
It’s their way of telling you that disagreeing with them makes you evil.
Obviously, if you had any morals, you would agree with them, because they are the epitome of all that is moral.
Hard to say, it's on the spectrum of calling anyone a demon or harshly calling someone an candy-ass motherfucker; I'm saying it can be used to suit anyone's narrative if they wanna grandstand on an issue
Yes, down to 70 dollars in my Bank Account makes me bankrupt

1) The state a person reaches when they trade away or violate too many of their core moral values or commitments!
2) The state of actually being completely without morals or scruples.
I assume it's a way of telling someone that they lack morals
lost any sense of morality
or at least thats what sounds right
It refers to the absolute lack of any sense of ethics, morals and values.
Never been called that or heard that but I guess it means no morals and treat people badly
I’ll rack too many numbers to know what that even is
It simply means you don't have any morals.
Who determines what morals one doesn’t have (
@Still-alive I think it is the society that decided the bar for morals.
Somethings are commonly accepted as being morally high. But some things are seen as completely immoral. Although it also depends on the person, a large section of the list of moral activities/thoughts, come from the society.
Hence maintaining our image in the society is of outmost importance. But since people are smart enough to fabricate an image for the society, it is either ourselves or the people really really close to use, who judge us for the morals we have or we lack.
If you are not true to yourself, then I would say, you are morally bankrupt. If you cannot be at least true to yourself, I would never expect you to be true to others as well. Thus lacking in morals.
I prefer "morally flexible"
I try to avoid loans
