Illegal's... as calling them undocumented is like calling a drug dealer a unlicensed pharmacist.

I don't say this lightly either, as I am half Latina, and I understand why and what they are doing. Many just do not do it right. I have a cousin who was brought here at a young age and spent many months waiting to go to court to get her 'green card' but then blew it off to hang out with friends, thinking they won't deport me.

Then complains she can't get a job and its not fair that she is now flagged to be deported for not showing up in court. She was extremely likely to get it too.

I don't blame her for her parents bringing her here illegally, but I do blame her for not wanting to become legal and blowing it off. Her parents are both citizens now, and even paid the legal fees for her to get that far and won't do it now. She has to do it for the next time and can't get a job or money.

If she does get deported they gave her a list of relatives she can contact to stay with.

I am all for immigration the legal way, but the vast majority never shows up to their hearings. They hope if they stay here long enough they can just get amnesty.

Which letting them come legally may not be such a bad thing, considering the labor shortage we are experiencing.

My company just outsourced a 100 jobs, that started out at $20 an hour cause they had no qualified people applying for them, they gave up and moved them over sea's. Said they cannot increase starting pay. One could technically be making $30 an hour within two years by self advancing, but they can't raise prices to customers without losing customers to competitors.

Those jobs will never come back.

@Daniela1982 They must not want to work, but literally no one was even applying, if they did get someone. They were totally unqualified, so was just poaching back and forth between many companies.

There is lots of businesses around here, you go to shop or something and signs up saying, closed today due to labor shortage, please come back tomorrow. Then they all have signs saying, please be patient due to labor shortage we are understaffed. Restaurants are keeping half of the tables unused since not enough help. If people are choosing not to work I want to know how they are paying their bills.
