Shoes! And they appear to be the type worn by people on their feet a lot and where they may need better traction. Such as someone in a medical profession.
I just called them sneakers. There is no need to get creative with names. These things are just shoes.

I would call them "Tennis Shoes" although I don't know if those would actually be used for tennis or not.

Growing-up they were always referred to as sneakers.
