Nothing in the foreseeable future will wipe out humanity. In the very near term and the most likely, the COVID vaccine may kill and/or sterilize a couple of billion which is what was the intent. The wanted more, but too many people have become aware of the dangers. Also, in the very near term but far less likely, a nuclear way may kill 2 to 4 billion people.
In the longer term and probably in the next 1 to 5 thousand years, the intergalactic warm period will end and we will return to the several millions year long Ice Age that we are in. When that happens, 2 to 4 billion people will die of starvation since there will be far less area for farming.
In the much longer term, perhaps 10,000 to 30,000 years, Yellowstone Super Volcano will erupt wiping out most people in the western half of the continental USA. And, the many cubic miles of volcano ash in the upper atmosphere will block out most of the sunlight for 2 or 3 years. Without adequate sunlight, most vegetation will not grow and several billion more people will die of starvation.
Of course, in 3 billion years, the sun will turn into a Red Giant and Mercury, Venus, and Earth will become part of the sun. However, no species exist that long. Long before that humans will have died out or evolved into other species; perhaps migrating to planets on other stars in our galaxy.
Meh, I can't vote any of them because I am not afraid of any of them. Iv made my peace with this life and will graciously step into the next life after this. But if I had to wager a guess on what might end civilization I would have to say a virus or parasite that is created by our government and accidentally released on the unwashed masses. Than once infected this would turn the mind to mush, like an agressive form of rabies, making people go wild and crazy. Eventually all those infected would die from malnourishment and the world will try to rebuild only to get hit with the second dose and that will be the final end to humanity lol
According to the Bible, if God does not step in and stop it, there would be no flesh left on Earth. Matthew 24:22 -And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
The ones that are pretty instant, like being vaporized... I'm not too worried about, as it would happen so fast.
Definitely a rapidly spreading AI created disease that creates zombies would be my biggest fear.

None of the above, men and women on average getting into relationships and starting families (if at all) later and later, and we'll just slowly fade away, like the Japanese currently are. It's an accelerating decline, We'll get nervous over silly things and not notice the most deadly enemy of all which is time.
At this point if a new pandemic doesn't wipe out most of the global population, then starvation will get us long before climate change does. Everyone harps on about climate change, but nobody really talks publicly about the actual biggest issue the human race is facing, and that is a global overpopulation crisis. We have expended to beyond our means of resources, and are already consuming 1½ planets worth of resources every year.
westerners are consuming too much and other nations aren't getting enough. Whats more people like bill gates are buying up the farm land and driving private farms out. The war in Ukraine and droughts across the world aren't helping. Overpopulation on its own i dont think is the issue its just poor regulation of the global resources imho. Places like Japan and many places in Africa have fixed daily or weekly calories. Most of the world can get by on 2000 calories. Americans are consuming 25% more than that and Africans are coming up short as much as 40%.
Ourselves
More accurately extremely rich and powerful people who believe they are better than we are are and we are nothing more than mindless sheep useless eaters using up the earths resources that they believe belong to themselves, and they want total control over everything and everyone who is left. In some way making them God's
Not afraid, I just don't want it to be something pathetic or too slow. I want the end to be exciting
@Agape93 true... imagine going most of the rest of your life without being able to bathe or brush your teeth? dear God! Also yeah, do you play on console or PC? The mods are great. I also go the Creation Club stuff... dont judge me I like dogs and donuts LOL. Slocums Joe mod is super fun. And I have a ton of custom mods on PC. Also what faction is your favorite? Which did you choose first? I'm getting my fiancee to play soon and I just want to sit back and watch and tell her nothing and see what choices she makes. :D
Ps4, my computer can't even run runescape well lol and no judgements, I use mods for roleplay.
For factions in general, followers of the apocalypse. Nice folks. But in fo4, I'd have to say minutemen, as annoying as fuck as they are. But first time around I chose the railroad
Let me know how it goes with her
OMG you know Followers? So you've played past titles too? :D
I hated the railroad ending. I felt so bad for the kid who got used, damn. I felt sad and guilty. My favorite is Brotherhood, always has been. Probably because of Fallout 3. But yes I know they aren't like Elder Lyons and his lot anymore. That said I think AI is dangerous af if not controlled. Do you play survival mode or nah? I love it myself. Nuka World was hella fun for me too :3
Yeap just new Vegas. Great story, shit game play. Farkas is my babe in fallout, I'd genocide the wasteland if anything happened to her lol
I take a perverse joy in murdering BoS boys lol I don't like this faction of them.
Personally I had no care for the synth kid. Ugly as fuck as a baby, pretty sure it wasn't mine lol I keep electing to leave him in the institute.
I do when I'm role-playing, since I don't play the story mode much anymore.
Nuke world was fine, but far harbor was a trip lol I don't live but a few hours from the real life location it's based on xD
Okay okay so funny shit with the baby. My protag was a Ginger the first run through, and Nora was default Nora. The kid was black or it looked black. I'm like my man got cucked! lol
So you live in Maine? lol. Also Fallout 3 really speaks to me, damn shame you never played it! Fallout 3 Expansion: Point Look out, I live very close by to it as well. I live a little swim from Point Lookout, Well I did because I'm moving. I've seen all the places in Fallout 3 in person. Fallout 4 has made me want to go see old Boston for myself. Take my girl with me we're traveling from Fort Delaware all the way to Old Boston. Gonna stop at Gettysburg in between. I want to show her the East Coast does have it's own beauty thats very different from the West Coast. She's never been yet! ^.^
Side Note: Did you know they have cut content, fully voiced for Fallout 4? Modders found out and brought it back for PC. In the game you can kill Maxim and have Danse take his place while everyone finds out he is indeed a Synth. Do you watch Oxhorn on youtube or have you ever? If you want console xbox is now the way to go. All future fallouts will be exclusive to Xbox and PC along with Elder Scrolls. Farkas is also the name of a Companions member in Skyrim so the name threw me off at first! lol
Lmao my main is a bit tan, but not that bad. Hubby was generic. Kid looked Asian lol maybe hubby stole it xD
Yeap yeap lol and awwww she's going to love it 😀
Yeah I do actually. Loved his lore series for fo4
I didn't know that actually, I usually just murder people at random in skyrim. Well used to, it's boring now for me lol
I'm not really afraid of anything that will annihilate humanity, but the most likely scenario is an asteroid collision with earth.
I think it’s funny like no one said AI. Cuz it’s def AI.
Humanity. People driven by fear can be very dangerous.
I think sooner or later some despot will develop a deadly virus and then let it loose.
God, who during the great tribulation will wipe out the majority of the inhabitants of the earth in judgment against the Antichrist and his followers.
Either running outta resources on the planet (because overpopulation) or A. I taking over lol
A collapse of the food system due to climate disruption seems like it's already underway
the current disruption is due to the war in Ukraine and the embargos. The USA gets almost half of it's total fertilizer from Russia. With the embragos you might guess that crops are going to come up short. Grain production from Ukraine not circulating is another issue. if the war ended tomorrow it would take roughly 3 years to get things back to normal.
No, there have been major crop failures on every continent in the last year. In the US a lot of it has to do with overusing the non renewable aquifer.
There has also been heavy disruption to rain patterns worldwide due to the collapse of the gulf stream.
The war in Ukraine is just a small element in a disastrous bigger picture.
The government in general, but who cares. I'm not following anything at this point
An asteroid just like the Dinosaurs.
I'm more afraid humanity won't be wiped out.
Humans will wipe out humanity.
I vote G..🎀😂
Nuclear war or an asteroid seem most likely.
Definitely B.
Humans themselves
humanity itself
