It might make some posative impact. But it won't have this profound impact that people think it would and it won't get us any closer to a utopia people are constancy pushing for. Simply because humanity has a self destructive streak that might a well be millions of miles long and we have this really bad habit of working against our own interests as a spices. So in a lot of ways humanity biggest enemy is itself.

Would women make the world a better place. Of course it is going to still have a lot of problems. Would it be better off if we have women as our leaders? Through out history we have had bad male leaders like Hitler and Putin. But If women were put into positions of power would the world be better off?

If you actually study the history of women in the position of being a national leader, you will find that they have waged wars just as often as have males. The reality is different than the intuitive perception.

I see. This is very interesting. I was thinking very black and white thinking women are more likely to have a care based morality and that would lead to less wars than men that are more likely to have a justice based morality. Thank for opening up my mind on this topic some more. I'll need to do more research on this topic.

well that's just a magazine article's I've seen on this subject. I need to see some scholarly articles on this before I am convinced. I am not sure if modern women such as yourself would have the same mind set as women from the past. I am sure a smart girl like yourself would be a good leader if you had acquired the necessary skill set to be one. It might just be different mentalities.

Women face significant barriers when trying to enter leadership roles. I feel like women are just as good or even better than some men. I think more women in power would work out just fine.

Assuming men and women have approximately equal average abilities, the top men would still be the best. That is because, in most all areas, women have less deviation from the average. For example, far more men are geniuses and far more men are idiots.

If they were good leaders, yes. Open up the high ranks for those with ability and vision, regardless of demographics, and you'd see some real improvements. But simply because they were female? No. It's not politically correct to say, but it's true- the traits that high-level leadership calls for are more common in men. They exist in women; I by no means say they should be excluded, but if you put all the best high-end leaders together in a group, it's going to be disproportionately male.

The world would be a better place if the best possible leader was elected. In some countries (not US, UK etc) women are prevented or have significant barriers to being a leader. This clearly results in less women leaders than if the best person got the job. So the answer is yes... as long as the women is the best person for the job.

History shows that female leaders and male leaders are not all that different. Witness Elizabeth I of England and Margaret Thatcher.

The only two female leaders I have respected were Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir. The rest have been a disaster. Although the new Finnish PM ks kinda hot.
