Like a CEO, or the presidency?
Women CAN be leaders, and they CAN be really good at it. It's just that they're not likely to be interested in leadership roles. Partly due to their more cautious and empathetic nature, generally speaking of course. And even if they do take up the role, they have to have the stamina for it, as these are highly stressful jobs. Women tend to value their reputation and social status a little more than men do, and being a leader means you make yourself a HUGE target for hate and bad press. Everyone loves to hate on the person at the top. This is inevitable.
Men, on the other hand, are more driven to be risk takers. Even if it costs them. This is why men make up so many extremes. They can be great leaders, great inventors, great artists... but they can also be the most corrupt and the most violent criminals of all. Of course, being highly driven as men are does not necessarily equal a "better leader" either.
It really depends on the individual.

I'm not sure when talking about averages.
One of the leadership traits that I think some men neglect is empathy, which might be more commonly found in women. Being able to empathize with our followers helps a tremendous deal in leading them properly in ways where they're happy and fulfilled with their tasks.
Yet there are also other traits that I think are very useful for a leader like initiative, risk-taking, and assertiveness which might be more prevalent in men.
It might also depend on the type of team and goals. An unruly team needs a very firm and assertive leader that has the voice to get unruly people back in line. More men might have an advantage there. A highly cooperative team that isn't like that might benefit more from a highly empathetic approach from a nurturing leader, and more women might have an advantage there.
I figure both men and women are capable of becoming great leaders but the traits they need to work on to become the very best might be different.
From my experience women in leadership tend to be more understanding, but so can men. I don't think one is better than the other since I have also seen women in leadership who can be extremely mean to you. Depends on the person than anything.
for the most part, no. but it really depends a lot on their age, and how well they can handle emotions. but i wouldn't say than a person is automatically a better leader solely based on race, gender, religion, or ethnicity.

What makes a 'better' leader is purely subjective and comes down to whether or not the man or woman in charge, is effective at doing their job on a domestic, internal, external regional, and or national level.
If you're talking about a leader of a country for example. There are no 'better leaders' in a country.
There will always be individuals and groups of people that feel hard done by from you, because of certain policies you helped put in place etc. There will most likely if you are a fair leader and have done positive things such as increased educational funding, lowered national poverty, lowered national debt, passed laws that provide more jobs in spheres that have little jobs in them etc. You will be liked by more people than you are hated or disliked. However, there's always going to be a few things that you did that you will be remembered for with hatred or disliked for (starting or being involved in long and fruitless wars outside of you own country for example. This then at an internal level within your country can increase national debt substantially, led to the printing off of more money and led to higher inflation rates. Then at the national and domestic level, prices go up and more people are pushed into relative and absolute poverty).
Men and women, do not have intrinsic qualities that make them better or worse than each other. Ultimately it comes down to how well their own individual qualities are for and in relation to fair and effective governance. This goes for the collective groups of individuals who are a part of their cabinet, party and government, and how well or effective their own individual qualities are in relation to aiding fair and effective governance.
Hope this answered your question. It's probably deemed 'sexist' to say these days, but I still think men have better natural leadership aptitude on average. But at the outer edges of the bell curve there are both highly effective female leaders and extremely inept male leaders. But towards the middle of the curve where the 'typical' leaders are concentrated, I think the men at that point would edge out the women. But I also suspect women would outperform men in roles requiring high emotional intelligence and subtle social nuances. Male leaders tend to "steer ship" more effectively, but when dealing with subtle emotional aspects of their subordinate's performance, their only tool is usually the "suck it up" hammer.
It’s not gender that decides, a lot is down to background, training and some natural ability that is developed more during training or when it’s needed.
i have worked for some brilliant leaders who have been guys and some that are women.
The leader of our training syndicate is a girl, however for some stuff she defers to me as I’m more experienced with some stuff.
it is however hysterical when a guy believes they should lead, you then give them the task and watch them drown. There are a lot more male leaders than female ones, and there is a reason for that. There are some women who make good leaders, but generally men tend to have more of the traits required to be effective leaders.
There is a lot of rhetoric these days about women being better leaders, but it's just that... rhetoric used by feminist groups and the media to try to artificially socially engineer a society where more women are in leadership roles.Nothing suggests this
Although men are more likely to sacrifice everything for their career success and thus is why the richest in the world are men
Whether you believe that or not.I don't think it's legit to generalize like that. Some men and women are good leaders, some (most?) are not.
not always. a person's gender doesn't mean they're a better leader
Not necessarily, but by my own experiences I’ve found I’ve preferred having a male boss
Men are more consistent.
Women are hit or miss.No. But they're not necessarily worse leaders either. If you're an effective communicator with the ability to inspire others, you can lead.
Not all men are meant to be leaders, but those that demonstrate leadership skills typically are of the male variety.
What is this based on other than that you "kinda feel" like it might be true?
Depends like do you think MTG would make a great leader 😂
Leaders or bosses or rules are only meant foe men and the women follows...
even better followers
Generally no they don't.
