Yes.

In order for a culture to sustain itself it needs children raised by healthy families. That means married parents.

They also need the men to be productive and co-operative, which they’re more likely to do if they have a wife and children.

The family is the backbone of a strong and stable culture.

In order for this to be maintained there need to be social pressures, particularly when it comes to sex. Strong sexual morals. Once you take those pressures away it all comes apart, and this destabilises the culture.

In his book Sex And Culture, an anthropologist named J. D. Unwin studied over a hundred past civilisations, and he noticed a pattern.

At the beginning most cultures are patriarchal, and in patriarchal societies there are usually heavily enforced sexual restrictions. Over time, after reaching a certain level of success, they’d abandon the old rules and loosen sexual morals.

Every single time this happened the culture would either collapse as a result of internal conflict, or would be invaded and beaten by a stronger culture. Every single one.

Since feminism, we’ve seen an increase in divorce, broken homes, hook-up culture, increasing division between people within the culture, incel violence etc. I don’t know how anybody could argue that Western culture is stable.

They want to avoid becoming like the West because they, just like Russia and China, see where it’s headed.

All the Abrahamic religions is built upon authority and control. While women are especially targeted as being beneath men in a relationship the men are also being oppressed by being subject to their God. I lose track of how many do's and dont's there are and all that nonsense but the whole religious family is just about how you are supposed to be controlled your entire life to be allowed into Gods special after life.

May look like they are restrictive through dress, as far as education for instance Katie Couric interviewed a Saudi woman with a PHD in Economics in 2002

As far as Afghanistan , there were instances like Iraq where Blackwater harrassed women and killed citizens

Reaction to being invaded Women's Lib started ok in the US then turned into this 3rd wave where women become a charity case Other countries watch what the US does and don't want that

Syria doesn't restrict It's culture also Afghanistan is very conservative

I think some people become addicted to culture because they don’t have alternate sources of meaning to fall back on without out. It’s easier to go from unaffiliated to affiliated but people almost always stay inclined after bonding to any particular tradition because the human mind craves order and men are logically binary beings.

Here's the thing. Back when Islam was first founded, Muslim women actually had more rights then other women.
The problem is, the religion was never updated, so what was seen as free 1500 years ago, is now seen as oppressive
