Most people who think guns aren't needed never have to be in the position to protect others or worry about their safety, to begin with. It's ironic the ones the least opposed to guns are the ones most physically and mentally likely to be victims.
I'd say that the second amendment is now needed more than ever. As the police are too afraid to do anything, lest be labeled racist, incompetent or simply murderers, you can't rely on them to protect you, therefore protect yourself.

you just need a decent gun safe and or access to a sub armoury if you go over the sensible number keep at home or the type such as.50 is better off at a better protected place.

I’d love it if we were too, lmao, but reality has other plans. You live until you don’t anymore, those are the rules. So I think we fuck up that system and (no pun intended) shoot ourselves in the foot when we introduce any sort of distance weaponry. It doesn’t matter if I’m the homeowner or the burglar, I’m bigger than 6’1 155, so I am genetically superior and nature intends me to win that conflict. If he’s 6’4 and 250, I’m the one with weaker genetic material, I’m supposed to die there, or at least lose the conflict. We can’t cheat ourselves out of that just because we fear being the loser. Gotta be laissez-faire with nature.
Well, I'm only 5'11", 300 lbs. That's why back in the US, I not only carried, but I had a laser sight on my glock to ensure accuracy. The shooting ranges in Philly are trash, though.
