the 2nd amendment wasn’t designed to protect hunting it was meant to protect ourselves and our families form those who would do us harm both foreign and domestic. The biggest threat we have in the United States is government it’s self an armed population prevent government from becoming an authoritarian dictatorship,

mental illness is a primary reason for people thinking that shooting schools or grocery stores is a good idea. So we need to focus on mental illness.

we also need to talk about human behavior in these situations. The gunman in the recent Texas case had shot his grandmother who called the police and is still in critical condition. He crashed his car and started shooting guns outside a old folks homes cops were called they did nothing. He went over to the school and was shooting a gun outside the school for 12 minutes. Before he went inside the school and shot 19 students and 3 adults. It took the police 1 hour before they went in to stop the guy. It literally took someone who wasn’t a police man but boarder protection to go in without the police permission to stop the guy from killing more students. This was a failure of the police there is no gun control measure that would have stopped this shooting,

Also gun control laws don’t work, In Chicago there was literally a guy waving a gun on CNN and guns are banned in Chicago but that doesn’t stop the shooting. by the way it’s mostly black children that are shot in Chicago but you never hear that on the news because it doesn’t fit the political narrative.

by the way I have 20 guns 5 of which would be considered assault rifles 2 Ar-15 and AK-47 a scar (civilian style). And a M14 I have multiple shot guns rifles bolt action lever action and a pump.22 (rare one glad I bought it) why should I give up my guns when I’m not going to go out and shoot someone for no reason. Your trying to punish 99.99% of gun owners for what a hand full of crazy mentally ill asshole who thinks killing kids is fun that not the majority of gun owner as a matter of fact that that is a few crazy people and we have laws in the books that can prevent these shooting every single one of these shooting have sighs where they could be easily stopped

also you want us solution to this nothing how about we have arm security guards in front of schools. We have cops and federal buildings we have cops at banks but we can’t have them at schools protecting our kids. Jewish schools have armed security guards in front of them all the time why can’t we do the same form public school. Of course I would mean you have to find the police instead of defunding the police liking Democrats were saying for 2 years. Every argument I’ve heard on new gun control laws is bull crap and wouldn’t stop anything. Instead of taking away the measures of protecting ourselves why don’t you talk about ways we can defend ourselves

Here is a thought. Seeing as a door was conveniently left open and the cops chose to just gab instead of eating, maybe it was a conspiracy to get people to agree to gun control or outlawing them. There are more veterans who commit suicide in a month than who die in school shootings in 5 years. I think that mental health is not taken seriously in the US.

Some are. Some go about it the right way. If someone drinks and drives do you blame the alcohol, car, or the person? Mental health is the main issue because no mentally sound person kills innocent people. Just because some people misuse something doesn't mean everyone should be punished. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be requirements to be able to own a firearm.
