We liked Bill Clinton in the household when he was on the campaign trail growing up, he had a charm to him that just doesn't seem to exist today. All of this which started the politics talk ever since then, it was also the first time I asked my dad who he was voting for.

We hadn't always agreed on everything but last go around the overall theme was anyone but Trump and that was easiest it's ever been to be on the same page. It's not like we really like Joe Biden either, it's more of it was the better alternative in 2020.

I did know that during the first campaign with Trump vs Hillary a friend of mine got divorced from her husband because she was on the left and he was on the right. Sad

No must of us are not registred to vote nor do we care it's about getting money Republicans and Democrats are all the same but the Dems are helping push a clowm world none of us agree with but it sees we would lean right more then anything. But none of us really care cause our votes don't actually matter

I tend to try to avoid any political conversations with family. They are all either far left or far right, and I don't believe either side has our best interest in mind.

With my siblings, yes. We are generally on the same side though. Generally does not mean entirely though. There are some things we have strong disagreements about.

My parents didn't talk about politics. I had a vague idea where they stood, but even after knowing them for 50 years I did not know details of their views. I can only guess approximately where they were on the left-right scale.

My SO and I rarely talk politics. Though we have similar political beliefs in most areas, there are a few where we disagree, and it's not worth fighting over.

Both  Being a centrist I see the faults and positives in all political stances.  Regardless, politics is about seeing where the middle ground is to make the majority work together. Too many small minded shits seem to think it's about only getting like minded people working on your side.

I only talk about politiks with ones that are close. I can't speak of such things in public, I make enemies on both sides & the fallout isn't worth it. I'm of the mind we shouldn't be electing people attracted to positions of power (those that seek them out). They have a word for people like that; psychopaths.

I can talk to my dad about my politics freely. My mom has started to see my points but stays true to her own beliefs, I respect that. My sister might slap the shit out of me, but maybe not as she respects my intelligence, I avoid politics with her so I can still see my nieces and nephew.

Generally I maintain the stance to everyone of "Dont trust politicians, especially the ones you voted for".

We talk politics from time to time, but since we don't all live too close to each other we don't all gather that often. I have one sister who is the complete opposite of me politically but otherwise we tend not to be relatively similar in views, with another sister and I being on the furthest side towards traditionalism.

Not usually. My 2nd oldest sister and I are opposites politically. While I don't agree with her position I respect why she holds the views she does. Whether she's wrong or not it comes from a caring place so I can't really fault her.
My family will ALWAYS come before politics!
