Unfortunately, Buffalo and Uvalde tip the scales a bit.
I dont know. The article seems to compare the US to 3rd world countries and then tries to compare the volume of mass shootings in Europe to America by mentioning that mass shootings happen in Europe when the truth is that more mass shootings happen in America in a year than in Europe over the last ten years.
Look at the two major incidents the article mentions in Paris 2015 and the brevnik shooting in Norway.
The 2015 Paris attack was an organised terrorist attack by an ISIS terror cell, this was basically an attack by a foreign government. This required a logistics operation to find away to build suicide vests and obtain assault rifles to carry the attacks out, which would have been much worse if they could have obtained more ilegal assault rifles. There were many such ISIS attacks in France and in NATO European countries involving ISIS members but these usually involved knife attacks or vehicles as they could not obtain firearms easily otherwise these attacks would have had higher body counts.
The Andre's Brevnik thing again was something this man spent 10 years preparing for and planning. He failed to buy illegally ak47s, a glock and a rocket launcher in Prague but was able through perseverance buy weapons legally in Norway and even have 30 round magazines sent from America for his mini 14. He spent years learning how to build a bomb. Imagine if a guy like brevnik had lived in America and had access to whatever guns he wanted, what a blood bath that would be.
There are a lot of attacks in Europe, but very few compared to America and very few since the fall of islamic state, those there are have generally fewer casualties because its not as easy multiple people in the double or triple digits.
One day soon as the frequency of mass shootings increases there is going to be a mass shootings in America with casualties and mortality figures so high it will shock the American people demand their government take action, I thought with the big Las Vegas attack at that country music festival things would change. One day soon its not going some kid angry at the world or some old guy who wants to inflict pain on others b4 suicide by cop, no its going to be a very very clever person or group of people, with military training as a us military vetrean, that knows how to shoot, can obtain the best possible weapons and ammunition for a mass shooting, knows about explosive, picks a prime target, plans it all out really well and maybe kills a few thousand. On D-Day on Germany mg40 machine gunner killed 2000 us troops by himself...

I wonder if Joey realizes that Canada has 38 million people, and America has 330 million people. I bet we also have more bank robberies than Canada.

Do you have the balls to ask your own question? If you do, post the link here and I'll answer your own question.
Do we really want to compare ourselves to a 3rd world country?
I agree with what you're saying. But that's the thing. We're supposed to be a civilized country. And these things are not supposed to happen with civilized people.
@hispanic-cool-guy said "Random mass shootings in 70's, 80's, and 90's were rare or non existent. I think this I a very good observation. Because it's ironic that these coincided with the rise of the internet and 24hr. News
Any disaffected person KNOWS if they cause a big enough stink (kill numerous people). It will be directed and talked about for days.
HOW LONG HAVE WE BEEN TALKING ABOUT UVALDE NOW?
We're sending these nutjobs the message that if you commit a horrific act we're going to give you the attention you want.
Here's a crazy thought, how bout instead of blaming the guns. We start blaming the person and what created the act! No you can't prevent every psycho. But you recognize the signs. How many people in hindsight have said the warning signs they saw in Ramos? If see something, say something!
And as far as gun control how bout instead of talking about waiting times, and age restrictions we institute a mandatory psyche evaluation to buy a gun. And don't tell me it's a right. Because so is voting! And when you a felon you lose that right. Guns should be no different.
America has a lot of unique issues that other countries don’t have. We need to stop comparing ourselves to what works in countries with homogeneous populations, enforced borders, less income inequality, less homelessness, less crime, less gang problems, less drug abuse problems, less divisive hatred, less war and better healthcare.

Joe Biden is quite prone to saying things that are not true!
I understand your point but with the statistic you put out you just shown that 18 out of the top 50 worst mass shootings in history were in the US 36% of those shootings were in one country that’s directly opposite of what you wanted to point out that’s far and away the most frequent
The Apple store has a armed guard but schools don't 🤔
Gun control 🤔Not leaving billions of dollars worth of weapons in the enemies hands would have been a great start to that gun control. I don't know 🤷♂️
Nobody talks about the Las Vegas shooter anymore, that guy killed like 59 people and injured 870 others. The media just swept it under the rug and the details about it are sketchy af
I don’t think it’s something that was a conservative/liberal thing, it’s a deeper cover up
As someone else mentioned - ‘frequency’ is what he was speaking about and he is correct
But the us is much bigger than most countries so of course we have more frequent mass shootings
@Intothevoid666 the only reason 3rd world countries have shootings is because it’s a free for all there. There’s no law or order
You need to learn to read, kiddo.
More school shootings happen in the USA with the frequency being higher as well.
He said frequency, not magnitude. This does seem to be the country where they occur most OFTEN.
“Frequency” means amount not worst.
Also, that stat is prefaced by “industrialized nations”. Or G20. You really want us on par with Mexico or Somalia?
He's right. Random mass shootings in the 70's, 80's and 90's were extremely rare or non existent.
This random mass shooting started to pick up stream mid 2000's and upward til now.
“Frequency” was the key word there. Yes it has happened elsewhere, but not every other day
Severity =\= frequency
