I would like to say it is getting better, but if we are being honest, it is still pretty bad in some areas. People need to treat others like they are human, and not an animal. There needs to be equality for ALL races.

We need to understand that the current white people are not their ancestors. They are changing slowly, but surely. If a white person is racist, it is probably because they grew up being taught how to be racist. Some of them probably wouldn’t care, if their OLDER family members didn’t teach them how to be racist.
We can’t erase slavery from history, because it has always been there. IT WILL ALWAYS BE IN HISTORY. No matter how hard they try to erase it from text books, IT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE. We can accept what has happened, decided whether to change the future, or continue to be miserable.

I thank God for my generation, because we don’t care about skin colour. To us, everyone is human. I really hope we are the change this world so desperate needs. 🌍💜

No for 2 reasons:
1: I don't believe it works like that. Just because you have an ancestor who was oppressed by some other ancestors doesn't mean your life today is significantly effected as you or any ancestor in between could have turn that around completely.

To put this in perspective most of us have ancestors who at one point or anther had nothing but the shirt on their backs, and relatively recently at that, yet they usually turned that around within their lifetime to say noting of their children's lifetime. The ones that never did usually don't end up having kids.

2: Even if I did believe it worked like that I take responsibility only for what I personally did, not what anyone else ever did. That includes direct ancestors as well as any one who happens to share a little bit more DNA with me.
