He'd be proud in a lot of ways, yes. There are definitely things about my life that younger me would look at and think "really doh?"

I think younger me would be absolutely perplexed by my lack of financial independence. Although current me is perplexed by that too, so I can't really blame younger me for feeling that way. He would probably also wonder how on earth I wasn't dating anyone and how my choice of friends all turned out to be such low quality.

I wouldn't have any good explanation for why that stuff has turned out to be the case.

When I was 8 I actually had been scared about people like me :D
But that was because I didn't know enough.
