That's litteraly what I was thinking watching the hearing last night. I kept thinking about the burning of the Reichstag and Hitler blaming it on "antifa" (Jews)

The GOP is starting to publicly embrace it, with quotes like paladino saying " Adolf Hitler was the kind of leader we need' GOP congressman complaining about "rampant democracy" and staying "democracy is the enemy of prosperity" Add in Rupert Murdoch who didn't just rip a page from Goebbels propaganda, he wrote a sequel. Fox litteraly ran commercial free, they are afraid people might be informed of fact that contract their alternative reality and blatantly fascist and misleading propaganda.

I can't say that they're Nazis or fascists, they're radicalized and nationalistic. They also hate immigrants, but as for their specific political leanings, I don't know. What was stopped was an attempted coup to overthrow our government.
