The new survey data, which was conducted from June 11 to 15 and published Friday by Axios and Momentive, showed that 54 percent of Gen Z (ages 18 to 24) hold negative views of capitalism. In an early poll, half of Gen Z support socialism.

How can young Americans distrust the government to look after their interests yet endorse socialism, which entrusts the government with the power to redistribute wealth, direct all economic activity, and control their access to such necessities as healthcare?

The poll’s results highlight two simple answers: ignorance of socialism and a jaundiced view of the United States induced by critical theory.

However, the primary reason is the indoctrination for socialism that students receive in public schools.

Yes government run schools has turned into indoctrination camps and has been a failure. Abolish the Department of Education and privatize the schools.

i think its more a problem that socialism has lost all meaning, as its being used so often whenever someone has a different opinion.

Like Bernie Sanders political points for free education and universal health care, tHaTS SoCiaLiSM.

Thats why i guess poeple don't want the classic Marxist socialism/communism, but rather a system where basic needs are taken care of by the tax dollars of everyone, to give everyone a good life with the same opportunites.
