Japan is just a US client state, it's not a serious country. Besides that, very few Japanese want to empower a hawkish approach towards China, but it doesn't matter since it's the US that has the final say in Japanese politics.

But now will have to rearm because the world simply doesn’t know how to learn from 80 million people being killed and hundreds of millions being displaced.

And the Japanese may have been peaceful for a time. But now they have no choice. They have to fight for the is survival.

It's not just a client state, but also an occupied one since the US keeps almost 60k soldiers in the country, even against the population's will. There's no future for Japan without getting a peace deal with China and regaining its sovereignty from the US. Period.
