Who do you think in your opinion was the wildest or craziest American president? If so why?

In my opinion I found Andrew Jackson to be quiet interesting. I mean he was a character in my honest opinion. I mean the man beat another man with a cane, had a wild party where cheese was on the floor, send the country into an extreme inflation cause he didn't believe in banks, and he basically dueled anyone.

How are you going to mention Jackson being a madman and not bring up the fact he soaked up a shot in a duel, and then took his time aiming a perfect shot as the other guy was forced to stand there by the rules of dueling? Or that he later dislodged one of several bullets he had taken over the years with a knife during a cabinet meeting? Or that he regularly inflicted self harming cuts? Or that he beat an attempted assassin senseless with a cane and his guards had to pull him off the guy? Or that he at one point, and again on his deathbed wanted to have his vice president (Calhoun) decapitated?

I can think of several who were significantly worse for the country, but it would be hard to beat him out for being an animalistic savage.

Teddy Roosevelt was quite 'wild' himself. him and his rough riding ways and Trust busting. There's also that story where he made a speech during his bull moose party election bid in 1912 where he got shot... but STILL finished the speech!
