Who was the best U.S. president ever, and who was the worst so far?

I personally think that Lincoln was the best president the United States ever had. I think the worst so far has been Trump. What do you think?

Best: Washington for peacefully stepping down from the role, setting the stage for the next two centuries.

Worst: Trump for breaking the country by trying to hold on to power despite losing a free and fair election.

Runners up for best: Lincoln for freeing the slaves, FDR for the New Deals. Truman for the Marshall Plan and a vision for keeping the world safe from wars.

@slatyb now that you mention it, I would go with Trump too as well. Trump one was not benign, but he wasn't completely horrible. Trump t2 is like a rabid hyena who also has an overlay of bipolar one disorder

I think the best was Teddy 'cuz riding a moose is just awesome!

I think the worst was Biden and noting to do with politics or Republicans or Democrats. It was obvious he was having issues and should not have been in office for health reasons. I did not think the old age jokes were funny at all. It was all very sad to me.

He has an articulation disorder and has had that since he was a child. That does not mean that he had dementia or anything even close to it. None of the amateur neuropsychologists on here knew or know what the hell they were talking about because none of them actually had any training in it.

Certainly Trump as the worst ever, however there have been some past presidents who did a very fine job for the country and world to only choose one.

None ever come close to being as despicable, crude, dishonest as Trump!

FDR, who got the country out of the Great Depression and led the country through a World War, while fighting his physical issues, would give Honest Abe a run for Best Prez.

There are many bad Presidents, starting with Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan, known for their corruption and incompetence.

I agree with @RandomGirl42 on Teddy Roosevelt as being one of, if not the best, of our POTUS'.
He'd step across the aisle for the good of the country.

I think FDR was the greatest president. And, while Washington was not a great speaker, I believe his actions setting the standard for the presidency make him a better president than Lincoln.

Trump is absolutely the worst, twice even, and Buchanan thanks him. The USA will be lucky if it survives him and the aftermath. I think the Roosevelts, both Teddy and FDR, were the best Presidents.

I'd LIKE to say Trump is the best ever, but he has turned out to be a real mixed bag. So to find the best, you'd probably have to go back to the time period of our founding fathers. The worst would be a toss-up between Obama and Biden.
