Why are we hearing so much about inmates escaping from prison or jail so much is it because city and states contract the work out to companies?

companies are only concerned about profit not public safety, so they are so understaffed and are safety is at risk in the name of money

I am not hearing what you are hearing. Do you have ANY facts to support the claims inherent in your question?

1. Most prisons are not privately operated and I challenge you to present some facts to support that specific claim.

2. Most prison "escapes" are inmates who walked away from a work release program. True prison breaks are not common and almost always get news coverage.

there are 4 that escaped yesterday a few weeks ago one in Florida killed a family
took their car police shoot him later and the one with the guard helping him

There are 133 different federal correctional facilities under the auspices of the federal Bureau of Prisons and only 4 of them are privately managed. So what is your point about federal prisons?
