Yup, their body their choice.
Nope, can’t have my neighbor doing weed because I disagree with drugs.

Current research suggests that cannabis has more health benefits and fewer health risks than alcohol.
So yes I think that we should at least make cannabis legal everywhere. And maybe other drugs too if they're not too harmful to people themselves and other around the user.
Just tells that it doesn't really make sense that alcohol is legal and nobody seems to care but as soon as you say weed people look at you like you sniff coke daily 😂
Cannabis is beneficial if you have chronic pain, epilepsy or if you are dealing with anxiety. But there's a cancer risk when you smoke it. And it can do damage to the developing brain. But I can't really find other risks.
Risks of alcohol are High blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, digestive problems and many types of cancer.
It's not a problem until the tax payers are paying for their disability checks after their bodies have been destroyed from the drugs and all the fast food they eat including emergency room visits that go unpaid. Drinking weed in a tea or something that's okay but that's not what they do they smoke it and ruin their bodies and they can't work anymore. "My body, my choice" until everyone is paying for your body and your choices
Weed is legal in my state, and because of that, crime is down, and the drug dealers are on unemployment.
Thanks for the MHO
I liked the unemployment joke
Actually, they are not on unemployment. They are the fry cooks at McDonald's.

Should we make it a choice whether or not people want to be suiside bomers in the same way it is a choice for people to smoke?
I mean.. what kind of a comperesment is this?
Doing drugs is addictive, it pulls in crime, it can harm long run with no return to pepole
A mac is unhealthy and eating it everyday is for most a bad idea
How ever its not the same or even close
You can be healthy and eat a mac everyday if you do your exserises and got the right genes
You do drugs... its a really really hard way back
Also if your trying to legitmise weed by you, I will consider starting by seprating it from the word "drugs" as long as its the same catagory as meth, happy and outhers that be hard
So no you shuld not allow pepole to become slaves to a substance so much that they be willing to kill there mom for just one more drug does
But yet you shuld allow pepole to pick there health options after making sure they got all the data to make the most correct answer for them
With drugs to me it really depends on the drug in question. Something like weed, shrooms or acid I have no issue with. But you start talking about things like crack, heroin and meth, I'm going to say that I'm not in favor of legalization. Because of my experiences with people that use hard drugs. Including having neighbors that where heavy duty meth heads. Trust me having one meth head neighbor stab the other several times due to a bad haircut, really rams home the idea that hard drugs shouldn't be legalized.
If they want to do all drugs I'm okay with you doing that. I don't care if they do drugs and eat all the fast food in the world as long as they take responsibility for their choices when they destroy their bodies and are disabled. You want to do all the drugs in the world okay do all the drugs in the world I don't care don't make me pay your disability check. What? You don't want to take responsibility for your drug use? Then no fuck you I'm going to do everything I can to keep the drugs illegal. .
"My body, my choice" until everyone is paying for your body and your choices.
I don't think illegalizing it does anything. It's more a kin to how we let people smoke and chew tobacco, drink alcohol out their ass while weed when made properly is a perfectly better and more effective replacement health-wise. I think it's not right to make cocaine and the actual harmful drugs out to the public. But maybe put efforts into finding better supplemental ways to use them. Anyone who has an opinion on drugs should actually be someone who's used them or knows someone who has and gets the culture around it.
While on some level I agree with giving people choices, I have to disagree when it impacts those around them. Since they have legalized marijuana here, I cannot not go anywhere without having to smell it. If I can smell it, I'm inhaling it. Why should I be subject to smoking it by force? In addition, it is not legal to drive under the influence and yet people are actually smoking it while driving. If people can't be trusted to do the right thing, why make it legal?
For sure. I actually hate it when people smoke cigarettes too nearby in public places
So, if drugs only affected that particular consumer, yeah sure. But imagine the legalising of drugs, which would in turn involve regulations and quality control legislation and guidelines, as well as competition laws for similar suppliers/providers. But, lets also look at the societal issues involved with illicit drug use, such as property crime engaged in to support said drug use, as well as violent crimes as a result of said drug use. The last I checked, Big Macs don’t cause such resultant issues
The word "drugs" encompasses so much, so no. Maybe you're just bitching because weed isn't legal in your state, but an old woman just a few miles down from me got her literal face eaten off because her caretaker decided to do bath salts that morning. So that's going to be a hell no to me. Not unless I'm also allowed to shoot everyone who looks like a druggie that gets within 20 feet of me.
That's a fucking stupid dichotomy, kiddo.
A "tell me you're clueless, without telling me you're clueless" question.
Food and drugs are not comparable. Yes McDonalds crap barely qualifies as food, but it's not something prescribed either.
It can be regulated like alcohol is regulated. An age requirement is needed and there are still laws against irresponsible consumption.
But, if you’re talking about harder drugs like cocaine, heroin, meth, I think that should require an additional license that must be annually renewed and can be obtained through a clean background check and an adequate psychological evaluation. There will be penalties for irresponsible use as well of course—license suspension and heavy fines at least.
Ah yes, also for the license a mandatory drug education course should be required to inform potential consumers about the health risks and best practices for safe use.
The majority of crime is caused by drugs. The majority of people only have the nerve to commit crimes while on drugs. Weed is worse than alcohol when people are driving. People that smoke weed often say they won't move on to harder drugs, but EVERYONE I have known in my life that claimed that ended up doing harder drugs like meth. Drug users treat people badly, abuse their families, sell their kids' possessions to hawk shops for drug money and they burglarize homes to get more drug money too.
I understand the "my body, my choice" in this situation, and I used to totally agree with that till I realized this is people who need help, they use this stuff (food, alcohol, drugs, etc) to cope, and even tho is the way they found to deal with their stuff they're hurting themselves. I think it's worth trying to help them somehow. I was falling into this situation with alcohol and people helped me, sometimes we need someone to give us a wake up call.
Yeah, so you are concerned about just everyone doing weed but what if I told you legal weed is safer to do than illegal weed
I'm not talking about legal or illegal stuff. All this things cause a damage, specially when they're used to cope, is not for fun and becomes another problem to handle. People need help, not to be allowed to hurt themselves. Imagine an anorexic man, he's an adult, therefore people are going to see him dying and they cannot do anything unless he decides to get help.
I'm not very heavily into this stuff, friends use the legal stuff. But weed can be the most beneficial for people to help cope in difficult times. The right stuff can make you happy as well as more focussed and productive when you're mind's too busy battling the depressions and anxieties of say crippling debt from student loans, gas prices, family hates you, haven't been able to find love. I think drinking and smoking, all the damn drug addicting nonsense should be kept a lot like guns still. There should be ways to make sure they use it safely. But not regulating it only causes more harm to these people.
@Loveisgirthy I see. What I've been told by two friends who used weed to cope is that at the beginning it works and it's fine, but after a while there's a point when you're just low af, that's why I don't think is a good idea, maybe once in a while to relax one day or for fun, but not to help you cope with heavy stuff.
So strangely enough we lose discipline as we age to love and respect ourselfs. Drugs are slightly less essential to survival vs food generally. That’s why there’s a little less stigma. However both are for losers. Home cooked meals all day & using safe good drugs to minimize any and all risks are the way to go.
I would say yes, except for the fact drug usage has the potential to make people behave irrationally, and this can have a knock on effect which can be detrimental to the community around them.
It's their choice. They should have a right to it, as long as they do it responsibly. Also, weed is probably gonna be legal in all states pretty soon, so yeah..
Why do you make it about weed... Not about other hard drugs that can make someone DANGROUS to be around?
Damn straight. Who wants to live next door to a crack dealer?
@EnglishEuropean reminds me of a new song out! You're right though... WHO THE HELL WOULD WANT TO LIVE NEXT TO A CRACK DEALER? or even just a user some of them are crazy
Their body their choice but doesn't mean it doesn't have consequences. I'd advise them not to but they don't have to listen.
There’s consequences. We can’t tell everyone to stop eating fast food but we can’t pay their healthcare if their eating every day on McDonald’s….
To be perfectly honest besides the USA, Russia, China and most of the European countries are illegal drugs more prevalent now more than ever. So essentially let's join forces and put a stop to the illegal Drug Trafficking Trade!!!
It is okay if they want to take drugs just as long as I don't have to listen to how enlightened they are.
There are a lot of drugs available. Some should definitely be legal. I’m not sure about the others.
People do have the choice, their choices just have consequences.
can't stand the smell of weed. dont want some junky nodding off in my front lawn. i moved out of Kennsington for fucks sake
No. Drugs can easily find themselves in the hands of teens and kids.
We simply can't allow Drugs to be legal in society.
Do people really eat McDonald's every day? Yuck
I’m not sure
this is a democracy, not communism.
What does one have to do with the other?
Just ban fat people lol
I honestly do not GAF
About what? The drug addicts or who?
