Was the coronavirus a bioweapon?

It’s been proven that the coronavirus was artificially made by scientists. So either it was leaked purposely or intentionally. If it was leaked by accident then why did the Chinese government try and silence doctors trying to warn the public about it and why didn’t the Chinese government warn its own citizens about it or the rest of the world for that matter until months after it was accidentally leaked. U figure if it was leaked by accident there would have been an immediate report made to the rest of the world. When was that "proven"? It's been *alleged*, since pretty much the beginning, and the narrative about about someone eating a bat and having it hop species was kinda sketchy from the start, but is there actually EVIDENCE, or just more supposition?

And why would it be, anyway? Why make a bioweapon with such a low lethality level? Granted, China actually WOULD benefit from a sizeable die-off of its own elderly population, and Jinping's brutal enough to want that to happen, but possibility isn't proof.
