What is you argument for NOT wanting term limits?

I absolutely support term limits.

Some (several) members of Congress are so entretched that they just sit there, sucking up lobbyist's money, while doing absolutely nothing.

"Career politician" should not be a thing. If we get rid of all the corrupt, greedy garbage in Congress, and prevent people from using the position to get rich, then we might actually get someone that actually wants the job to serve, like they're supposed to.

I don't have an argument against term limits. If term limits are good enough for the President, they should be good enough for Senators and Representatives. If term limits are implemented, it's important, though, that some level of consistency is maintained... everyone shouldn't hit their term limit at the same time.

I support term limits 100%, ideally via an "up or out" policy, which would also cut the Senate term from 6 to 4 years with 2 terms maximum in any federal government role.

Limits for unelected, appointed officials too.

It would have to be put to a referendum vote, and you're right, it will never happen. There are ONLY two things that Democrats and Republicans agree on...

1. No term limits
2. Pay raises for themselves.

We kind of do have term limits. It is called elections! Don’t keep re-electing them.
Providing they are fair and just.
If the perks weren’t so good. Maybe we wouldn’t have politicians from the Stone Age still in office. Or poor politicians becoming millionaires while in office.
The voters need to have a say in their benefits and salaries and not the politicians!

Diplomatic immunity? Google the story of the son of a congressman, who was spray painting graffiti in Singapore. This is Singapore, and that dog don't hunt. The dork thought he was immune from punishment, because he was the son of a US congressmen, got his ass whooped. They caned him in public. They has to teach him a lesson. Singapore has very little crime, because they don't tolerate it.
America loves crime, and that's why we have so much of it.
