+1 yBill Gates-Democrat.
Warren Buffet-Democrat
Jeff Bezos-Democrat
Hillary Clinton-Democrat
George Soros-Nazi (Democrat) If you still have such a hate-on for Elon Musk you could at least have the integrity or honesty to look at the damage done by the far larger number of evil billionaires on the left. The owner of the largest electric vehicle company on earth dares to give you your constitutional right to free speech back and he gets death threats? What an immature and unreasonable response. All that says to me is leftist ideas can’t stand up to scrutiny or challenge outside of echo chambers.03 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI always loved this song and I've always been an Alvin Lee fan.
I saw them ~1977-78. They probably did this song but I don't remember for sure.
I have that album (Space in Time). I have a total of eight TYA and Alvin Lee albums.
RIP Alvin Lee00 Reply

+1 yI love it when people bring up this point to tax the rich people... we should let the big corporations pay their fair share of taxes
06 Reply- +1 y
I don't understand why everyone is always yelling to tax PEOPLE like why? Put 1% tax on the top line of the corporations and I 💯 💯 guarantee that you will have a better public economy. We will of course have to tax hunter Biden on his income from the Ukraine gas company where he's on the board without knowing any Ukrainian or anything about gas.

You can't tax anyone that much, and the poor need more than just money.
The main issue with capitalism is that corporate welfare and bailouts help the rich more than the poor. Despite the poor largely paying for them.
Think about it. You have one billionaire a few millionaires and a few millions wage slaves all contributing to the same tax plot. The billionaire gets tax breaks, corporate welfare, and debt free government grants and passes.
The millionaires get a fraction of that and the wage slaves get none of that. Who is in the better position in the end?01 Reply
+1 yNo I disagree. Most of those people earned their money and they did so with intelligence and with contributions to society. If you really want to solve the issue of innocent people being poor then give them opportunities to be not poor that is The simple solution that wouldn't fail versus all the other solutions which I can guarantee you will fail

Improve the education system. Get politics out of the classroom. Get drugs out of the classroom. Get more security in schools and try to find ways to get students to pay more attention in class then all you need to do is make college more easily accessible for hard-working students then anyone who's actually worth pouring money in is going to have a high paying job or at least we'll be on the road to a high paying job
26.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It sounds good on paper but the so called War on Poverty has been around since the 60s and there are more poor people than ever. I think that these polices just encouraged more poor people.
It usually ends up the middle class pay for the party because the rich can hire tax attorneys and accountants to find tax loopholes.03 Reply- 716 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yHow about having mediumly rich people. Like a couple million a year. That’s plenty to live a comfortable luxurious life. These billionaires are a problem. When an average person in America makes like 2-3 million dollars across their whole life and people make that in less than a single day, I think that huge imbalance is a problem

Maybe get off the internet and invent something people want. Then you may become a billionaire.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 ySo your answer to poverty is to take from one corrupt organization and give it to another organization (that may or may not be already working together anyway) and expect them to actually help?
The war on poverty has been in place for nearly 60 years and if it was in anyway effective, we would be seeing improvement but we don't. If anything it has gotten worse.013 Reply

Opinion Owner+1 yI will trust the government when they respect the bill of rights and not use it as toilet paper. There is no other intention to undermine them unless they plan to do heinous things to the people.
Opinion Owner+1 yLiterally every time time the government was called upon to solve social issues like this, insane numbers of people die by their hand whether it was done by Nazi or communist regimes.
I, someone who does NOT want that to happen again, want to try a more grassroots solution like the civil rights movement and those seemed to have worked.
Opinion Owner+1 yIn your imagination they do. Even if all our current technology DID come from the government, that means jack shit on solving problems like discrimination or poverty. All government attempts to solve those issues have been a disaster.
Opinion Owner+1 yTechnically yes but then the democrats made the KKK and basically continued the trend by bending the rules.
Opinion Owner+1 yAlso we were in the middle of one of America's bloodiest wars over slavery before Lincoln ended it. The KKK just found ways to tiptoe around the anti-slavery laws.
Opinion Owner+1 yThe point is, most of the social issues we see involve government corruption on some level.
Some might even say that they don't want to solve these problems because doing so would ot allow them to provide the "cures" to create dependencies. "But without government, who would wipe your ass for you?"
3.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I’m good with feeding the poor but the rich are important for a civilization to survive. So not don’t tax the rich out of existence
01 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Terribly stupid logic. Who collects the taxes? What stops them from becoming corrupt? Fking nothing, they inevitably become corrupt and the money goes to giant corporations who got these politicians elected

think how many thousands of millionaires Jeff Bezos created between his employees and all the Amazon sellers who can now produce goods and get them to market cheaply. Think of all the taxes those people pay so people can get food stamps and sit home watching Oprah all day. I guess the government should have been taxing him from the start and tamping that shit down.

I'm middle class and have made a lot on Amazon stock. I punch a clock. Many small business sell things on Amazon "out of their 2 car garage". I have former classmates that are well paid managers for an Amazon warehouse. This is why the USA has a higher standard of living than any socialist country

then inflation would be off the charts because we would be running out of things like vegetables because rich folks aren't going to go pick them. A much worse version of right now. this is jsut a little inflation caused by the government war on business and "free money" so people can stop going to work.
751 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, punish success so that no one bothers trying to prosper, that way the people who drive the economy can stop that shit. Tax all the businesses so they have to pay lower wages and cut back on employment. then we can all be equal
