What effect has corrective lenses had on society today?

75% of adults wear some form of corrective lenses. Besides the obvious, before the mass manufacture of lenses, I imagine life was a lot blurrier for the average person. Also consider the average lifespan was cut in half, so many never reached an age to where they needed them. Since this site focuses on dating, has corrective lenses had a more positive or negative impact when it comes to relationships?

My power is -10. There’s no way I could work or drive or cook or do much of a lot of things. Wearing contacts since I was 14. It’s one of those things you take for granted.
