The PGA is not paying what the LIV can. And LIV is the Roman numeral for 54; LIV tournaments are only 3 rounds with 3*18=54 holes, not 4 rounds with 4*18=72 holes, so it is easier for everyone involved.

LIV: More money, Less Work

The only thing different between them is the prestige factor of the older tournament circuit, but that will wane if the LIV starts picking up new world-class golfers.

Keep in mind also that, for PGA tournaments, for many golfers, it's a losing proposition - they have to pay entrance fees and travel costs, but they don't make enough in winnings to compensate and, since these guys don't have endorsements, they need more in winnings. For them, going to the LIV may not be so prestigious (for now), but when these guys are trying to make a living golfing, they have to go where the money is...
