Does it count as cultural appropriation if you try to fit in as a child of immigrants?

What culture are children of immigrants suppose to follow? The one of their country or the one that their family grew up in? Would you look down on a compatriot who is close to their ethnic roots?

If you move to the US, you should embrace the culture of the country that welcomed you in and is providing you a better life than you had in your home country. You’re welcome to honor the culture of the country you emigrated from, but at the end of the day your loyalty should be to the US.

No because culture appropriation is stupid, everything country in the world has taken something form another culture and brought it into there culture. Kanji and Ramen come from China but we associated with Japan.
