Dr. Phil once told a man who was being abused by a woman to turn around and walk away and to never hit her again, what are your opinions?

Before I jump into this, I just want to say right off the bat that I really hate Dr. Phil. I personally believes he doesn't help anyone. He makes people with mental health issues look bad on camera and has his stupid audience laugh at his guest and they applauded him every time he insults a guest like he's a god. (I also think that his audience is the worst audience in TV history.) Then send them to some program where there have been murders and rape accusations.

So about a week ago I came across a Dr. Phil video about a man being abused by his girlfriend, and he said that he used self defense and hit her back. Dr. Phil said and quoted, "I don't care what she does, if she's attacking you, you turn around and walk away." Which no doctor or anyone would ever say that. The audience was laughing at him pretty much the whole. The poor man was so embarrassed that he said he was done and was getting up to leave. Then the douchebag doc said that if he got up and left the stage, he would have the Los Angeles police arrested him. After he said that, his audience gave Dr. Phil a standing ovation, and that pissed me off to no end.

I then saw somewhere that Dr. Phil was being nice to the abuser after she explained that she was also abused by her parents, and Dr. Phil was going to get her that help that she needs. If that's true. That fuck it.

After I saw that video. I sent a message to Dr. Phil's Instagram, telling him that I hate him and he's a terrible human being and his show should've been cancel a long time ago, I then sent him another message saying that I would never be on his joke of a show, but If I was, I would not only break his jaw, I would also kill every single person in his audience. (I know, I shouldn't have said that, but I was so furious that I didn't care at the time.) He never replied back, but he did end up blocking me.

So my question to you is that, do you agree or disagree with Dr. Phil when it comes to a woman abusing a man? Why or why not?

Update: I saw another guest or Dr. Phil who was also being abused by a woman, and stood up for himself as well, which douchebag doc stands up for the woman again. But this time the man defends himself and ask the doctor what if a woman has a gun to there head. Which he replies that he'll run like hell if that happens. (Keep in mind that he could jump two inches when a guy came on stage when that woman with that nasty juice was on there.)

Abuse is abuse; it's not gendered, at least in moral terms. Yes, it's true that women are smaller and weaker than men (with some exceptions at the extremes), and because of that, many people think they're not a threat, because a stronger man can just fight them off. These people have evidently never heard of knives. Or sleeping.

Women get empathy, men don't; men get respect, women don't. This extends so far as to not give them respect even as aggressors; it's why teachers who have sex with their students aren't thrown in prison- unless they're male, in which case they'll be likely to survive long enough to REACH prison. It's why a man can be thrown out of his job and socially ostracized because of an ACCUSATION, with absolutely no evidence, of sexual misconduct from a woman- and people will look on and call for more. Emmett Till was just the beginning.

Want some evidence? Look at the incidence of domestic violence among couples. It's regrettably high among straight couples, almost nonexistent among gay guys, and *disgustingly* prevalent in the lesbian community. A lifetime of being ignored when you indulge your darker impulses has serious consequences when you turn out to have the emotional control of a toddler. It'd be interesting to see what Oprah makes of THAT little tidbit.

And if that's still not enough, ask her to reflect on what she's encouraging by promoting a climate where, if you're a man and a woman starts abusing you, your best available course of action is to kill her.

Well I have been in a situation where a girl was attacking me by punching kicking and kneeing at me and it was necessary to defend myself. It clearly wasn't going to stop.

As it was she claimed I hurt her by blocking her punches and called the police for that.

It wasn't as if I could turn my back as she had me bailed up in a corner of the room as i had retreated away from her when she started her frenzied attack. If I had turned my back, likely she would have taken advantage to hit me in the head with something hard close to hand. So Dr Phil is stupid.

Fortunately the police were sensible enough in my case to realize that if a girl is punching then it is her fault for hurting her hand and it is reasonable to deflect blows.

In case you are wondering I had brought some chocolate over and was foolish enough to take piece myself then all hell broke loose. I have no understanding why other than she was very drunk.

I do not agree with Dr Phil at all

For one thing, women are in different sizes and shapes, some are very strong, they have black belts and fight training, they are possibly very dangerous

Very ridiculous when some TV psychologist says a man should never defend himself against a woman , a man must protect himself from a dangerous aggressor , women vary so much that it's not worth taking a chance with a dangerous woman

You really can't win by striking a woman. The best bet is to get away from them and don't ever see them again if they get that way.

Watch Bill Burrs clip about how women argue, I honestly think the advice he gives is solid. Men need to learn not to let women push their buttons, and learn when to just walk away knowing you've won. Losing your temper and resorting to violence means you've lost.

Because a woman is already assaulting you, society has already deemed you to be the one in the wrong no matter what the reason is because of our retarded assumption that women can do no wrong. Hitting her back will only "affirm" that narrative within our culture.
