Europeans with open borders, is it normal for you to have relationships and friendships with people of another country?

When I lived in the Stuttgart I used to go all the time and spar (and of course the occasional daily joint you know them dutchies) with friends in Amsterdam, now that I'm back in England it's kinda tougher but I still talk to them all the time

I tend to drive and fly to other Euro countries to meet friends, and they to me. Though haven't much these past couple of years.

It doesn't happen as much as you might think due to language and sometimes cultural differences, but there are a lot of cross-border friendships.

sure. i mean ususally you only meet people of other countries in the EU a lot if you live relatively close to a border.
