i know this is a joke, but no two men in the NBA could defend Jordan's fade-away/fake-fade-away drive to the paint routine. If he did that every possession in the WNBA as a "tranny" he'd be totally unstoppable. Back then, in Jordan's Era, if somebody scored 80 points on the New York Knicks, that was a very rare thing, because they had the best team defense in the league almost every year. If you saw someone score 80 points on the Knicks back then, that would blow your mind, and JOrdan's Bulls could hang a hundred on them... but Patrick Ewing would elevate his game and score left right and center too... and still be the best or second best defensive player in the league every year at the time.

For people who don't know who Patrick Ewing was, the guy should get some kind of award for "greater player never to win the championship". HE was a defensive monster, but his team was overshadowed first by Bird and Johnson's Celtics and Lakers, then by the eBulls, and then by Olajuwan's team too. So he never won the championship, but the Knicks back then didn't suck. It took MICHAEL JORDAN to score on them.

Because I'm old enough to remember watching all 6 of Jordan's Championship teams live on television. He could full stop burn another elite athlete and leave him in the dust and then slam dunk over the next two guys who tried to block him.

Tehy DOUBLED UP ever game. Tehy scored 170 points in one game of basketball against other professional players.

The players in the NBA and WNBA now suck balls compared to that generation.

Anyway, I reember that now. The magic number for Patrick Ewing's Knicks was 87 points. IF you saw a team score 88 points against the Knicks, we'll that was ridiculous. It never happened. But Jordan and the Bulls could score at will against them. And you NEEDED to keep scoring, because they weren't incompetent on offense themselves. They could elevate their game and score at will on you. But if you saw the Chicago Bulls hang 110 on the new York Knicks, that made Jordan and Pippen and Horace Grant look UNBEATABLE and the truth is they damn near were unbeatable.
