In pretty much every sport, both individual sports and team sports, there is a women’s game and a men’s game. But what sports do you think that both women and men could compete against one another?
For example, rugby would always require a women’s and a men’s game, but a sport like darts could easily see women and men compete against one another (and they do, even though there is currently quite a standard gap).
I train in traditional Thai boxing, and here we find that where body protection (head guards and groin guards etc) are not allowed (to free up a wider range of strikes), and where competitors are thoughtfully paired up balancing men’s physicality against a woman’s higher technical ability ranking, this is a sport where women and men often spar and compete against one another.
So with sports as they are currently practiced, or with some rule changes to balance the sexes, which sports do you feel women and men could and should compete at against one another?
