Trans Swimmer Lia Thomas Allegedly Bragged About How 'Easy' Her Race Was

Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas reportedly made an arrogant comment about how "easy" one of her races against female opposition was.
Lia, who used to go by Will Thomas before her transition in 2019, made headlines last week after shattering multiple US women's records at the University of Pennsylvania.
She has copped plenty of backlash on social media from disgruntles sports fans, but has remained humble and even come out to try and explain why she feels she's eligible to compete.
Now, though, it seems her name is in the spotlight once again, this time for allegedly bragging about winning her races.

Speaking to OutKick, one of Thomas' swimming teammates claimed she she had said: "That was so easy, I was cruising."
The teammate also detailed how fellow competitors would often be left in tears when coming up against Thomas in the pool.
"They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they put in it, they're going to lose. Usually, they can get behind the blocks and know they out-trained all their competitors and they're going to win and give it all they've got," she said.
"Now they're having to go behind the blocks knowing no matter what, they do not have the chance to win. I think that it's really getting to everyone.
"Usually everyone claps, everyone is yelling and cheering when someone wins a race. Lia touched the wall and it was just silent in there. When [UPenn swimmer] Anna [Kalandadze] finished second, the crowd erupted in applause."
"Pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this. Our coach [Mike Schnur] just really likes winning. He's like most coaches. I think secretly everyone just knows it's the wrong thing to do," the anonymous female swimmer said.
Thomas competed in the men's division until she transitioned in 2019 and has been taking hormone blockers ever since.

I know about this thing. I have read it in an article about similar thing. Actually it all depends on practice and hormonal change won't do any issues. There is no problem created due to imbalance of testosterone. It instead creates problems as per frequent hair growth, irregular periods and all. I don't exactly know for total trans gender but there is no problem if for a girl the testosterone level is a bit high (not to the point of becoming trans). For trans gender I don't know exactly. But this is what I know about sports women with high testosterone level. And about being easy then kids also say that their exam was easy even though it was tough. I'm not really sure what the exact answer will be as I don't know everything about trans gender.

Guys who transition are still guys. They are NOT female and should be banned from competing in women's competitions. They are destroying women's sports, knocking women out of scholarships, and killing the Title IX advancements that women have made over the last 40 years.
I don't even believe that someone who lived their entire life as a man and suddenly decides he is female actually has sexual dysphoria. They can transition if they want. That's their business. But I strongly oppose letting anyone who doesn't have a uterus and ovaries compete in women's athletics. They can cry all they want to.

I think it's a discussion the sports community needs to have as a whole.

There are physiological difference between men and women, although those differences are small, at professional levels they can be quite the advantage.

I am unsure how the transition process affects these differences and a call should be made on a case by case basis.

It's a bad joke and it is scary it has went so far.
Women leagues are made because there are significant differences between the biological man and woman. It is not just your recent hormonal level that has an influence on your physical form, transitioning is not a 1-1 change.
If you are serious about your sport the answer is not to lower your standards with drugs and go to a lower league. You have to make a choice, and not getting to compete professionally might be the consequence if you transition if you cannot keep it up with the men as you used to.

Also, female sports are for females - not people who think they are females.
