Because it's not a new phenomenon. Sometimes rivers dry up sometimes they over flow and flood. Despite all the alarmist talk climate change is actually the earths default setting. Next time some one try to fear monger you with "global warming" just remind them, no shit the earths been warming since the ice age ended. The stupefied look im thier face is always priceless.
Maybe, but the changes rarely happened this fast (unless they were caused by catastrophic events like massive volcanic eruptions) and didn't correlate so utterly precisely with human activity releasing tons of greenhouse gasses.
Thats not a very rapid climb it seems like it because you looking at a very small slice of the earths climatological timeline it has been far far warmer on earth before and it has been far far colder as well. And its driven mostly by the sun not massive cataclysmic events. Belive it or not ice caps aren't always present throughout history they're generally leftovers fome ice ages.
@cipher42 Thank you for posting that Global Average Temperature graph. I know that only about 10% of the western hemispheric population believe that climate change is not happening… But WHY are they ALL online vocally disputing it?
@captain_voidwalker Everything you said is absolutely true, and the entire planet was a tropical rainforest type environment 65 million years ago. But people (or even species, for that matter) do not live 65 million years, let alone FIVE HUNDRED MILLION YEARS you idiot! ALL of the change above the natural average in the past 2000yrs 100% of it has happened since we began burning fossil fuels! But the Idiocracy you seem to follow, keep hanging on to the fact that the temperature tens of thousands, to millions of years ago was either hotter or colder than today… Just fuckin’ GENIUS! By the way, I guess you didn't realize to “void” means to urinate! So in fact, your username is Captain Piss Walker!
No sweetie the planet has been warming since the ice age ended, maybe humans have a negligible impact on climate but we aren't the apocalyptic climate changers various governments make us out to be. The amount of co2 we output in a year of burning fossil fuels is a fraction of what earths biosphere outputs daily. And if there was enough co2 ever to alter climate globally in a significant way you'd have much bigger problems than the planet warming. Like not bieng able to breathe
The US just passed a climate bill. So we are alarmed, it's just hard to do anything about it when you have a bunch of idiots denying climate science and big fossil fuel companies bribing politicians.

This is natural. These lakes will dry up and overflow. It happened 100 years ago and the cycle repeats. We notice it now because we have used those lakes for water and tourism and vacations so we cry. But that was gonna eventually happen. It will come back. Or new lakes will be created.
Because people only make the deliberate choice to be anonymous when they are ashamed of what they wrote, embarrassed by what they wrote, or are trolling everyone with what they wrote. So why take anyone seriously when they won’t even stand by the courage of their convictions? I take what you wrote as seriously as I would take an anonymous accusation! IOW… Not at all!
@CrazyGirl2 you think those are the only reasons to comment anonymously? Too narrow minded. Comment anonymously has more to do with the website than actually caring what people think 😂. Don’t blame me, blame the website for making it more beneficial than not being anonymous.
i'm extremely alarmed. that's why i sold my car do drive a horse and buggy everywhere. stopped eating beans so I don't fart and produce carbon dioxide, stopped filling my giant swimming pool with water that just gets wasted, donate to every bs climate change scam out there, BUT the elites pushing this bullshit keep flying around in their private jets to preach the fear, so all my hard work has been undone. Come for them before you come for me. That's all I'm saying.

I’m not having kids, the world is doomed. People are too stupid, religion brainwashed too many morons, no one has faith in the right places like science. The rich are too greedy. I just hope I can live a good life and honestly fuck whatever happens after. That’s why I’m not having kids. Among other reasons…
If we didn't have to deploy the carriers around the world, US could use one to desalinate 700,000 gallons a DAY through one of their water treatment plants!!!
i'm not concerned with that, cause water is not a ressource that somehow leaves the planet it always is part of a endles cycle. some areas get dryer, some get more moist. that's how it is.
With regards to the update, I think it’s dropping the mic, they are done and out of here and don’t want to discuss it any further. Maybe it’s just a temporary block
@Jesuswasahue The thing is, if you ask people near a hydropower dam if they're worried about it possibly failing they're most likely not going to be worried. People further away and in less danger will worry more. People tend to ignore dangers that's looming over them.
I can't remember all the dams that were removed so fish can spawn in Northern California and Southern Oregon. Now both states are suffering from being dry.

upload.wikimedia.org/.../...e_-_Ed_Hawkins.svg.png oh this is very much a new phenomenon
Thats a very short timeliness in geological terms. Scale out to about 500 million years and it will paint a much clearer picture.

You pretty well summed it up!
What gets me is when you drive by a golf course in the middle of the desert and they have beautiful landscaping and the greenish grass you ever seen!
Plenty of sea water to make potable like they do on naval ships’

Well at LEAST you are secure enough in your beliefs to post this with your username…. Oh wait! Huh? Never mind.
@CrazyGirl2 What does that have to do with anything?

@ElementoP I’m living a good life and saying fuck everyone else but ok

Yet when they decommission one they send it to some other country to be broken down into scrap. That or sink them in target practice.
No they send it to Brownsville, Texas
They have even used a few to build artificial reefs.
Because the Democrats are too busy worrying about their tranny agenda
Republicans believe in climate change now? Top tranny Caitlyn Jenner disagrees.

1) it is God's plan and predicted in bible to bring in the end
2) There is gold and silver items that can now be found
3) We have ocean water we can use but morons refused to take salt out and use it.
^ People like this are the problem.
@Jesuswasahue
Well, they might be a part of it...
But they're not alone...

I'm not worried. These things happen from time to time. That's just the way nature is.
it is alarming...
but greed is deaf, and also blind, conveniently
I reckon no-one has received the horrible news. We should eat fruits or nothing at all and stop stealing water from that river.
I can't remember all the dams that were removed so fish can spawn in Northern California and Southern Oregon. Now both states are suffering from being dry.
my friend actually sent me a picture earlier of a sign saying "warning deep water"
there was no water
Not much to do to mitigate this. You can desalinate water, but the energy cost is huge and the waste product is hypersaline water.
Well just pump it back into the ocean. There is no new water produced on Earth. All that we have doesn't leave. It is here in one form or other.
If you pump it back into the ocean you create a localized environmental disaster.
Brine is generally toxic.
Research the specific cases, I mean seriously research it.
Then you'll figure out why.
(answer is, basically problems without solution.)
There's 3 rivers in my town. No sign of them drying up anytime soon!
