Why are people freaking out over rising sea levels, if we already had sea level fluctuation in the past?

Did you know that cities like Pisa, Pompeii as well as some of the other ancient Roman cities in Turkey and some other places used to be coastal port cities. But overtime the sea-levels shrunk, and they turned into inland cities.

I know that some atolls in the Indian Ocean and Pacific will sink, but there was nothing there before either. If those cities I mentioned used to be on the coast and sea levels are rising, doesn't that suggest that the sea levels are actually returning to how they used to be? I feel people are freaking out because THEY will be displaced, but the earth itself will be fine. It is not caused by the people. We chose to built on Mother Nature's turf and there's nothing we can do to stop it. We'll just have to move our asses like the ancient people.

Another thing is that land has not always been in the same place it shifts l watched a lecture on the findings of yellowstone eruptions in i think it was washington state they showed how the land that is washington state at one time was over or by the hot spot known as yellowstone what they fail to mention is if the ice sheet and glaciers melt it will free up massive amounts of methane gas that is locked in the ice mathane is a greenhouse gas and that alone will impact earth in ways we dont even know yet

That doesn't change the fact that sea levels rise during intergalactic warm periods and fall when they end and earth returns to its current several millions years long Ice Age. At the beginning of the intergalactic warm sea levels were low enough that humans crossed on the bridge, now under water, from areas now referred to as Russia and Alaska. I don't believe anyone can accurately predict when the intergalactic warm period will end. It could be very soon or it may be another few thousand years. Nevertheless, over the last 450,000 years there have been four Ice Ages lasting around 100,000 years each, and five intergalactic periods lasting around 12,000 years each.

Because cities may be swallowed on the coast. Cities people live in. Means a loss of arable farm land too. There was indian kingdoms before the ice age now buried in the ocean.
