Can you be both religious and truly libertarian or conservative?

I am pretty amazed that most conservative or libertarian rightists want to support freedom of nations, sovereignty, freedom of speech, etc. but when their God is mentioned they start having completely different values, that freedom of doing anything outside God is "bondage", that only God is in charge, etc. etc. Is Heaven a celestial benevolent dictatorship?

I don’t know. Christians want freedom of religion but under the control and organization of European Christian system and values.

Most liberals have virtually no understanding about conservatives. How could they? They get their information from liberal media types who don't understand it either. It's like the blind leading the blind.

A lot say that people are free to believe and express whatever they want but they also say you would go to Hell if you unbelieved in their image of God or speak certain expressions against God or religions.

Well, yeah. They don't think a mortal government should have divine authority. That's hard to argue with.

It could be argued that celestial authority would possibility to be as "controlling" as a mortal government. After all, we are talking about a being who is infinite and beyond all mortals, and God gets to decide to do anything he wants to us if he exists.
