Muslims call Islam a religion of peace, but what I see among Muslims is fear and hate. The Koran says repeatedly that Muslims need to be very afraid of God, but it doesn't mention once about loving God. Muslim women have to hide under all that clothing, and even Muslim men hide behind beards. Muslim men are actually told they'll go to hell if they don't have a beard. As for the hate, Muslims have no problem killing infidels (or 'crusaders' as they're called), or looking the other way when a 'fanatic' kills an infidel. They also harass and oppress non-Muslims.

I don't think Ayatollah Khomeini even read The Satanic Verses, yet he still issued a fatwa on Rushdie. You can see Khomeini's fear and hatred in his actions. I personally don't even care about Rushdie, or his book, yet every Muslim lets him be a bug up their ass.

That's awful. They called off the damned fatwa; what more do these people NEED? The really depressing part is that if they artually READ the book, they'd realize they're getting upset unnecessarily.

Of course, that's assuming this is about the Satanic Verses. From what I just read, the motive's still unclear.
