Probably. Our economy, culture and society have reached its peak decades ago. People in charge are too limited to deal with stagnation because their system to upkeep power is inflationary and needs steady exponential growth. This isn't achievable and intelligence of human collective is similar to a group of baboons.

Nope. due to a thing called MAD or Mutually assured destruction. once one country launches their nukes, they will be detected and then another will launch their nukes and then others and boom end of the world.
no country wants that and so no one is stupid enough to actually use them.

US had nuclear bombs at 1940s. They were first in war history and people witnessed them firs time. Now in 2020s noone knows what they have. Presumably too much effective things than nuclear guns. So there mustnt be a war at anytime.
