The problem with the right VS left thing is, if you're on the right, a leftist is simply misguided. If you're on the left, someone in the right is evil. There is no middle ground. The following image illustrates it perfectly for me.

I’ve been in the “it’s not their fault, they don’t have access to the same information” camp for as long as I can remember, but lately I feel like it really doesn’t matter anymore. Too many people have adopted this hate as a personality and there doesn’t seem to be any reasoning or critical thinking any more.

If you look at the statistics, right wingers, consume about 60% right wing news, and the rest is center and left. The left wing on the other hand consumes nearly 100% left wing news, it's something like 95% left and 5% center and 0% right. It's their choice to not look at all sources that causes that. Me being in the center I consume about all 3 equally.

I started becoming intolerant of them in middle of the Obama administration, now I don't even bother trying to have a discussion with them, because you never know what will set them off. So I'd rather stay as far away from them as possible.
