Is it a violation of prison rules to snitch on guards?

Anybody who is knowledgable about this stuff, I am curious to know about this. We all know how unpopular snitches are in prison. The one commandment that seems to unite the criminal underworld regardless of criminal offense, race, or whether their crimes are political or not is "Though shalt not talk to the authorities." But what about telling on the guards or police (regardless of whether they make a successful complaint)?

Well that depends on whether the other guards like the guard you’re thinking of reporting. At the same time, not only can other inmates make the person’s life even worse by snitching on them, so can the officers if they find out snitched on them. Criminals have no loyalty to anyone but their self. They will snitch on each other but call others snitches if it’s something they did. That’s why I’ve always hated that term. If someone killed a family member of theirs and you knew who did it, they’d want you to snitch on the person who did it.

From the few videos I have watched, a snitch is a snitch regardless. If you tell on even one person, you have the reputation of a snitch and you have capability of snitching on others

I work in a prison. They snitch on staff. They snitch on each other. They’d snitch on their own mother if they could get something out of it.

I guess I should have recognized that prison inmates don't practice what they preach.
