Trending & News The Holocaust, of course. It was an intentional act by people to kill off entire groups of people. The pandemic has killed more, but it was an act of nature started by an accident (albeit a potentially avoidable one - wet markets in China without sufficient attention to the dangers).
Wow. You believe it came from wet markets. Just wow. 🤦‍♂️
Why am I not surprised. Goddamn you’re dense. 🤦‍♂️
@Agagagagaga That's what the science says. www.wsws.org/en/articles/2022/08/17/lbac-a17.html Why am I not surprised that you'll believe any old crap you're fed?
@Avicenna Really? I didn't notice the source. Unlike any right-wing website, the ones I read link to the original peer reviewed studies, because they have facts to back them up.
Usually, anyway. That muppet screwed up and linked to their own hard drive. And I didn't notice, so call me Gonzo! :)
Anyway here are the studies, via theconversation.com/the-covid-lab-leak-theory-is-dead-heres-how-we-know-the-virus-came-from-a-wuhan-market-188163

Now, goaded, we know you European Marxists are stuck in echo chambers, gaslight constantly and insist on crushing independent thought.
And scientific consensus is rare. It's certainly not the case here, at least not yet, no matter how many leftist hacks you cite. The origins of COVID have not been investigated thoroughly, and due to the instrangience of your bosses in Beijing, they never will.

The holocaust was deliberate (some would argue covid19 was too but it is uncertain). What the nazis did between 1933 and 1945 was truly horrifying. The suffering endured by the victims of the holocaust was unspeakable.
Hitler had a plan to build his nation by sacrificing real human beings in order to bring an ideological plan of action to fruition which may have benefited Germany in the long term but went against instinctive human morality. I get a catch in my throat whenever I think about it.
The holocaust obvisouly.. how many people were sent to slavery camps because they had Covid?
Nobody was ever sent to slavery camp ever

Equating correlation with causation, ignoring basic medical science, AND denying victimhood to people killed in the Holocaust because they weren't Jewish?
That's some gold-medal level historical revisionism you've got going there.
Today's ignorant question award goes to...
The pandemic was nature screwing with us and the ignorant politicised it.
The Holocaust was the systematic attempt by the Nazis to eliminate and entire ethnicity.
Go read a book
I know I am in the minority but covid killed a lot more people and also it really has ruined our civilization. The fallout of this will be felt for many years or maybe forever.
And that's because of the pandemic, and not the right wing under-paying and undermining teachers at every opportunity, is it?
The US health care system is already third world. First world countries cover all their citizens. You have people queueing up for free dental and medical treatment because there's no other way they can afford it (look up Remote Area Medical - it was founded to help in third world countries and now it does 60% of its work in the US).
Democrats tried to get universal healthcare passed thirty years ago, but Republicans voted against it and put forward a crappier counter proposal. When Democrats finally decided that at least the crappy counter-proposal was better than nothing, they proposed it, and Republicans voted against it 100%. (That was the ACA, by the way.)
The economy is doing much better than it was in 2008, when Obama came into office, and getting better, apart from inflation (which is a worldwide phenomenon).
@Agagagagaga @exitseven is talking about the US in particular. Worldwide, there's a resurgence of the right-wing, encouraged by Russia and predating the pandemic, Republicans are simply the reason the US is joining Hungary, Poland, and Turkey as examples of backsliding democracies.
@goaded Teachers are not underpaid. If you look at how many hours they actually work most make 70 -100 dollars an hour. Plus a pension at the end. I worked for a K-12 school district and they would; get pissed when you told them what soft touch they had. None of them ever quit to work in the private sector however.
Not according to this site: https://www.indeed.com/career/teacher/salaries
$16-21 per hour.
$46 per hour in DC public schools.
$14 in Houston, TX.
20 million Americans would disagree with you about Obamacare. They had no insurance without it. 27 million still don't. That's still getting on for 10% of the country.
Why do you have to pay for an MRI? In Germany, we have to pay 10 Euros per night in hospital, everything else is pretty much taken care of, and drugs are reasonably priced (insulin, for example, is 40 Euros a year). It's actually a pretty similar system to the US, with competing insurance companies and privately owned hospitals and clinics. But nobody ever goes bankrupt with medical expenses.
@goaded My insurance was cheaper and better before obamacare. My wife works in healthcare and sees the result of it every day. I get a town report every year that lists the salaries of every town employee. The superintendent of schools is the highest paid person in town. Most teachers make at least 50 K for the new ones. The department heads make 100K. This is for a 183 day year. They are burning rubber out of the parking lot at 2PM too. It is full time pay for part time work.
There are many procedures that require a big co pay. The MRI is probably the most expensive at 200 bucks but there are others. I actually refused an MRI becsuse i did not want to pay the 200 bucks. I told the doc i would take my chances and if I didn't feel better in a few days I would be back. I feel like I am in a Mad Max movie sinc eBiden has ben in the White house.
Have you ever considered that the effectiveness of a country's system is not measured by whether one person's bills go up or down?
The amount the US spends on health care per capita exceeds the amount spent by any other country although many have health care systems that cover everyone and ensure no-one ever goes bankrupt from getting sick or having an accident. It's literally unheard of. (I thought of another out of pocket cost in Germany: 15 Euros for an ambulance ride to the hospital.)
Your "superintendent of schools" (plural, I notice) is in charge of an organisation of how many employees? How many students are they responsible for? As for your 183 day year, conveniently ignoring any time spent on work done outside school hours (teachers don't plan their lessons during class, you know), what's a "normal" number of days per year that people work? 250? Do they get paid for the days they're not working?
I have to apologise, I viewed the website without JavaScript, and it showed the wrong amounts.
Average teacher salary: $20.31 per hour, $32,381 per year. Pre-school teachers are on $15. Public defenders, for comparison, get $30, Contract Attorneys $53 (with a lot less hassle).
@goaded I teach a computer course for 15 years. I have already developed the course and the exams are all made up and i know the material so I really do not do any preparation and the only work I do outside the classroom is grading papers which might take an hour. That being said I am on the high end of the pay scale and it ends up about a hundred dollars an hour.
You say that, but job search websites say something different.

Holocaust was deliberate extermination.
COVID is basically just a bit more annoying flu. Its of course sad for relatives of those who died due to COVID, but its absolutely not compared to the horrors of holocaust.
Neither of both accomplished what they had ''promised''.
Covid because it actually happened
Exactly. Covid was real. Therefore worse
@Illumimati453 yep. Real thing is worse than a hoax that never happened
False dichotomy, kiddo.
Seriously?
Holocaust was worse
