Actually, talking about the leadership of that era, you know who else gets my goat? Cheng Kai-Shek. He was the kinda guy who'd have no problem sleeping after learning that his secret police had dragged you out of your house and beat you to death, which was about par for the era, but in every picture of him I've ever seen, he's smiling and happy. Stalin smiled, but it was always creepy as hell. I've only seen ONE smiling photo of Hitler, and even Churchill was always dour and seemed to be carrying the weight of the world. But Kai-Shek looks like your happy grandfather.

Now I’m not a huge fan of Reagan, he didn’t disband any of the federal government he did bring in the era of small government which was good but I never understood why he is considered a god in the republicans party. I’m more of a fan of Calvin Coolidge he pretty much governed as a libertarian pretty much letting Americans live there lives without government intervention he’s the reason why the roaring 20s was so successful in terms of economic because the government wasn’t involved. This is why Herbert Hoover and FDR were bad president because both use the government to try to influence people’s lives. Capitalism a term coined from Karl Marx refers to a free market system. The idea that you own the right to your own labor meaning you have the right to refuse to do a job you don’t want to do and the sell those good or survives like carrots or totmatos or TV (good). Fascism and communism are similar the reality is we should think of the political spectrum as a circle ⭕️ When you look at fascism and socialism/communism there very similar in practice. Both murder millions of people. (The reason I lump socialism in with communism is because socialism is the 2nd step in getting to true communism the reality is mao Stalin and pot pot were socialist since the last step in getting to full blown communism is the government steps down and there is essentially no government no one has taken that last step to true communism).

Nationalism is actually a both sides issues for example the Chinese nationalist in the 1920s and 30s were on the communist side in Germany the right wing side. Now what we also have to understand the American right and left is a lot different between the Europe left and right. If we were to use the American political standard the nazis and communist were both left wing. If we were to use the European standard for left and right both Democratic and republicans would be considered right wing. (Progressive would be left wing either way).

The European left and right tend to want bigger government with a little more national on the side of the right think people like Boris Johnson. The American right tend to want very limited government with an attitude of leave me alone, Fallowing the nonagenarian principle known now as classical liberalism or libertarianism. Libertarians would considered to be an extreme right wing party in Europe. The American left (not including progressive) tend to want a little more government control with some regulations and more taxes). But they would still be right wing compared to the European right.

Now when you look at this issue in Germany was between the red shirts (communist) and brown shirts (fascist) what’s interesting in the reason the Weimar Republic voted in Hitler because his side were less violent in the 1930s then the red shirts who called themselves Antifa were way more violent to there opposition so they voted for the less violent side in the 1930s which ironically were the nazi party. Now obviously WW2 started in Europe happened as a result. There wasn’t a good option on who to vote for in Germany in the 1930s

Honestly I’d bring back the articles of confederation the constitution give the government to much power to tax its citizens.
