40 years ago gay people got lynched in the streets. No one cared. 40 years ago aids was an epidemic. No one cared.

It's only after making a scene of things people start to care. So it's not a rivalry in any way shape or form until straight people are being lynched. This is just the normal progress of suffrage in every healthy democracy.

There's a heated rivalry between two main sectors from my experience. I can't talk to a LGBT person anymore. The guy will tell me "you smell straight"... then go on a tangent about messing with guys with girlfriends/wives OR guys who want to screw both men/women.

I have one very close lesbian friend from grad school. She's beginning to hate women. "Half of them are trying to mess with my girl while they have a Dick on the side. What's up with these hoes..."
