For example if we’re talking about Scotland then you probably would have a lot better luck because Scotland has an interesting history when it comes to their leaders A good example is Boudicca the Queen of Scotland she was a woman who was also an amazing tactician who was greatly loved by the Scotts so if a woman could become one of the most loved icons of Scotland during the time of the Roman empire then I’m plenty sure they would be willing to elect a king with democracy.


France might be another good spot because they have history of revolutions though there is the French revolution like the one people usually think about however that’s not to say it’s the only one that’s just the one that lead to Napoleon a. k. a. possibly the greatest general to ever exist and also the most dangerous Frenchman to ever live.


I think that the Nordic countries have pretty much always been progressive I mean to my knowledge The Vikings have seemed pretty arguably progressive I mean there was legal divorce women could own property and had really good rights for the time, theirs plenty of respected female Vikings and aside from gay jokes being some of their favorite insults they were pretty accepting though they did own slaves but those slaves were of any race and sex because to them a person is a person and sometimes that person is a slave


India might be interesting in that regard as they seem have this perpetual identity crisis in whether or not to be a progressive or conservative country so it’s really interesting. FYI I think Their God of war or one of their gods of war is a woman But I could be wrong it’s been a while since I’ve really looked into Indian culture last time I did it was because I had a really good friend who Is an Indian who was born and raised in India who also still lives in India.


Oddly enough i think china might have an interesting response.
I’m my opinion china has probably the most interesting history and if I ever become rich I’ll probably go there myself and learn about their history from the locals. Also china just has some beautiful scenery so that’s another plus

It depends on when and where. In Poland, you'd've been laughed out of the room; they elected their kings, but only the nobles got a vote. In Ireland, you'd probably have started a drunken brawl (which was not hard to do in Ireland, Medieval or otherwise)- they elected the HEIRS of their kings, but again, only the nobles could vote.

In most of the rest of Europe, you'd've been lucky to escape conspiracy or treason charges, depending on how seriously you made the suggestion. In China, or places run with the implicit (or explicit) doctrine of divine right, you'd probably be thrown in the dungeon, or just burned at the stake.
