True story: Rasheed (18) lures girl (14) off facebook to his grandmas house, enslaves her, starves her, brutalizes her person... assumably conditioning her for going into sex trafficking... so can make $ off her. The Police... I mean the incredibly amazing awsome Police... whom should get bonuses, track him down, bust past the lying MFer and rescue the girl. The girl not strong enough to face him, he gets away with 5 years prison.
In your world, what is appropriate punishment for a person that thinks like that and would do that to another person? I don't care about courts and processes...you are the king/queen... what is your decree? Keep in mind cost factors and impact to victim (s).
I'd bet $,$$$,$$$ there is no substantial father involved, that's part of the problem that needs fixing. #candaceowens for President. Note: I have no awareness of races or cultures involved... nor do I care.

You are king, what is appropriate punishment for such a crime?
If I am king, the man becomes the slave of the girl for then next 10 years. If she doesn't want to give him orders for what do to, then for the first 5 years he will wear iron shackles on his wrists and ankles, and an electric collar around his neck that shocks him in increasing increments if he leaves the property, or if he comes within close range of the girl. He will be relegated to gardening and household chores as a baseline, but the girl can change his duties as she sees fit. She also has control of the shock collar as she sees fit, but is not allowed to do other physical harm to him (such as hitting), and there is a limit to the voltage. If the house is found to be dirty or chores left undone, he will also be shocked periodically until it is organized and clean.
After 5 years, the girl has 5 more years to have him as a slave. After the first 5 years, she is also able to release him from her service if she chooses. (I don't want her to be able to release him for the first 5 years, because I'm concerned she would just do so out of fear of him).
Both the man and the girl will also receive talk therapy on a weekly basis, to help them come to grips with these horrific events.
That's part of my reasoning, she is traumatized and so having him as her slave for 5 years+ I am hoping to improve that slowly over time, that she can get her power back.
Short Version: You could enslave criminals like him, but that's risky because corporations are greedy.
Long Version: Enslave the man in a customised government program working with multiple companies to allow the employment of criminals like him under tight supervision. The catch however, is that he doesn't get paid a single penny for it.
If the person in question has commit murder intentionally, they should be trapped within this program for as long as they live. When they inevitably meet their demise, they should be incinerated, with their ashes stored in a pit somewhere (or burnt as fuel maybe).
Why did I think of this? Well instead of letting them just die, why not use them to aid companies profit off of the criminals who either way, need to pay the price.
Obviously, this would not work in real life because who knows what companies will do to get a hold of "criminals" who may in reality be innocent. While I do believe this could benefit society, corporations have been known to do horrible things to make more money, so I think implementing this would be unsafe.
For the sexual assault for two days alone, I'd say cut his package off and shove it down a garbage disposal... add a rubber one to use for functionality.
For the trafficking conditioning, cut both arms and legs off, rip his tongue out and poke his eyes out... then keep him alive for those five years, then let him out to live the rest of his life however he see's fit, with no tax payer funds to help him.
@exitseven Cruel and unusual is open to interpretation by the courts though. Its too bad the system doesn't care about the victims of a crime as much as it does the perps of them.
@lightbulb27 Sooner or later a liberal SCOTUS will say, locking someone up is considered cruel and unusual punishment. Liberals have already said that we don't need prisons.

The demented mind of a liberal, no idea... but they seem to think that everyone can be rehabilitated. Prison does no good, but they also don't care about victims at all.
Many victims will turn to criminal life if they don't feel justice was served, so they will make the situation way worse. Only conservatives seem to care about the victims more than the criminal.
Skin him alive, and have doctors keep him alive and pumped full of antibiotics 24/7. Nail him to a wooden pole and leave him in town square to slowly die in pain.

20 years if he had mental health problems, with the possibility of parole after ten served. Death penalty if he had no severe mental conditions and was just plain old evil. I voted option C.

@TheSpaceGnome I don't genuinely believe in good and evil, no. But it's simpler to just call it that than "selfish, destructive, and abusive individual with signs of Borderline Personality Disorder"
And actually, the most "horrible" people tend to be highly intelligent, and the most stupid people (usually religious, too) tend to be the most humane. This is because highly intelligent people tend to disassociate themselves from humanity more than the dumb ones. Intelligent people see most humans as stupid, selfish, and violent animals (I can certainly relate to that feeling), thus have less empathy within them. Dumb people often need others' help more, allowing them to be more grateful and appreciative of others.
Mental health problems aren't all dependent on high/low intelligence, though. Both geniuses and really mentally slow people can develop mental health problems. The issue is, so many people attribute malice to a problem, when it's often stupidity and/or mental health issues. A slight alteration to Hanlon's Razor. I've seen this happen with internet Lolcow Amanda Sutherland, aka "Druid Focket." People assumed she was just evil and a troll, when in reality, she had severe schizophrenic issues.
All evil is the result of selfishness, not insanity or stupidity. Selfishness + destruction is what creates what we know as "evil."

No, no thats actually the polar opposite of the truth, switch that around, every horrible dictator, every serial killer, rapist, corrupt ceo, backwards politician, etc, were all mentally retarded, religious minded crazy people.
Being religious minded just means believing something thats not true without question. You cannot be highly intelligent and corrupt, its impossible.
You can use things intelligent people made or realized and be corrupt, but you can't be intelligent and not empathetic, you can't be intelligent and not fear retaliation, you can't be intelligent and enjoy being cruel, you can't be intelligent and and hate most of society, because intelligent people understand that stupidity is a disability, so blame is pointless.
The smarter a person is, the kinder they are, malicious intent itself requires stupidity to exist.

The evidence and data actually supports my argument entirely. You just consider stupid people intelligent because they can calculate. calculation is not intelligence, computers can calculate and computers are completely unable to even think at all.
I can't hold a human's life in my hands absent a system and process, however long, without knowledge of God. I fall far, far short of that knowledge, and I'm willing to make this judgment absent that. I subject him to a system instead. It's a flawed system but it's the best I can do to try to be fair given how little I know.
Being a king doesn't make me the ultimate authority over people's lives. It makes me ultimately responsible to protect them as best as I can (what a horrible person to place that responsibility; I'm a drunk). I don't wanna be that type of king who bypasses systems. I'd be at best a king in favor of the flawed systems we have. That person's fate is going to be determined by the system. And as we spot flaws in the system, we try to make it better.
I am King: We order to bring us this person and from now forth he shall live in a kennel together with our hunting dogs. As such he also will serve us on public hunting events. He shall be released after not less than 5 years under the condition that in such event he has proven to have been useful in the hunts.
I let the victim decide. For me it's only justice. I want the criminal to be at the mercy of the victim, as helpless as the victim once was. The victim can decide what happens to the criminal.
Prison and torture. Fingers cut off, castration, tattoo on head and body of him being a sex offender, brand him, blast loud music at night so he can't sleep every night. Feed him dog shit to eat. Make him bathe in his own urine. Walk him like a dog everywhere he needs to go for sunlight outside time. Sit him down with his eyes forced open to watch a repeat of brain washing material. Give him false propaghanda that his family had been attacked while he's been locked up and have him flip out. Take away everything from him where he can commit suicide. Inject him with a bad diesease after a few years and watch him suffer slowly until he dies and he feels every inch of it no medicine.
Lock him in a room and have him trip on like 600ug of acid. When he starts freaking out, show pictures from the crime scene. Play audio of the girl talking.
The work won't be done yet, but he'll sure as shit be ready to be rehabilitated 😂
Then he can go to prison for a year and if he shows signs of wanting to be better, then he can be sent to counseling.
People like that are sick. But not inhuman. The capacity to do that is in all of us and people should remember that.
I don't know, logically I'd say give him the same treatment he gave the girl, but anyone willing to do that, is going to be just as dangerous as he is.
